Partners Contents
An advertorial allows an advertiser to promote his products and services in much greater detail
than traditional advertising. Inspired by the publishing world, the partner content can take a variety
of forms, including editorials, videos, computer graphics or events.
OUR OFFER
In addition to permitting the dissemination of advertorials throughout its platforms (newspaper, website, databases,
events), Les Affaires Plus now offers companies a specialized service involving the production of customized content, including partners contents. The topic and treatment of a partner content are at the discretion of the advertiser, therefore,
Les Affaires journalists are not involved in the production of this type of content.
The benefits of a partner content in Les Affaires Plus
• Take advantage of superior quality production of promotional content. Les Affaires Plus has put together a team that is dedicated to the production of partners contents intended for the business community in all formats (editorials, videos, computer graphics and events).
• Reap the benefits of multiplatform dissemination within a high-quality environment exclusively dedicated to business. (Newspaper, lesaffaires.com, events, database)
Specifications:
In an partner content, the word PARTNER CONTENT must appear in the upper right corner in 12 point capital letters. The typeface used in a partner content cannot be the same as the font used in the publication (Poynter, Flama and Guardian). Fractional
page advertorials (measuring less than one full page) must be bordered by a rule of 0.5 pt. or more. The partner content must
be at the client’s image and distinguish from the newspaper’s image.

Inserts
• The inserts must be delivered without any wrinkling, exempt of any defects. There will be no dog ears, creases or other imperfections.
In the case of a folded insert, the fold must be in accordance with our specifications. If inserts are supplied in boxes (maximum of 35lbs),
the inserts must be packed tightly to avoid movement inside the box;
• Inserts must never be shrink wrapped;
• If the inserts must be delivered in containers and in attached bundles, they must be attached with one stripe or with elastic.
Bundles should not be higher than 4’’ (spine side). NEVER CROSS BUNDLES, neither in boxes nor containers;
• Inserts in press sections must be supplied in bundles with end boards, strapped on spine and face of section. If sections are for perfect
binding, spines of supplied sections must be face up. If sections are for stitching, spines of supplied sections must be face down;
• Inserts thickness resulting in a too great amount of boxes, therefore production slowdown, should dictate the use of containers instead
of boxes;
• The distance between the packs must be reduced to a minimum because stacks not well supported have a tendency to deform themselves.
The packs of each row must overlap the packs of the lower row to avoid having the packs slide between the cracks during transport;
• Stitched inserts must be stacked with skid tops to offer maximum support;
• A weather-boarding must be placed on the skid in order to prevent the deformation of the inserts due to bad atmospheric conditions;
• If insert boxes are attached to the skid by metal straps, they should not be tightened to a point that will damage the boxes and/or inserts
or having the top or the bottom of the skid bent;
• The boxes must be stacked and not exceed the size of the skid;
• The skids must either have a size of 46” X 40’ or 48’ X 40’; maximum height: four (4) feet including skid;
• Different inserts on the same skid will not be accepted;
• Only the inserts for the current publication should be supplied.
Identification
• Identification for each skid: A label must show the title of the insert, the code (if applicable), the name of the publication in which it will be
inserted with the issue no., and the quantity on the skid. This information must be identified on at least two sides of the skid;
• Identification for each box: A sample of the insert must be taped to each box and a label must indicate the title of the insert, the code
(if applicable), the name of the publication in which it will be inserted with the issue no., and the quantity per box;
• The delivery voucher must be joined to an envelope containing 25 samples. This envelope will have the same identification sticker than the
boxes. The delivery voucher must show;
a) The name, the number of pages and the insert code;
b) The title and the edition number of the publication in which it will be inserted;
c) the total number of inserts, boxes and skids in each truck;
d) The number of skids on board of each truck. If there is more than one truck, the last skid tag must read ‘‘Final Delivery’’.
The respect of these requirements will eliminate extra handling and costs and will ensure the insertion of the
received quantity. Deliveries that do not respect these specifications may be returned.
