We’re very excited about our plans to attend and
represent Lassen County at the Reno Outdoor
Recreation, RV & Boat Show on March 18, 19, and 20.
The Chamber board has made a financial and staffing
commitment in order to promote Lassen County with a
strong presence at the three day show. We know this is a
great place to live, visit and do business. Our commitment
to the show is a big step forward in ensuring we get the
word out to future prospective visitors and business moveins.
Thank you to those of you who have already sent in
your membership renewal. Remember that your Chamber
membership is tax deductible as a ‘necessary business
expense’.
The Chamber office is sold out of 2016 Labor Law
Posters.
The Chamber office is open Monday thru Friday, 9am to
4pm. The Chamber staff is available to provide information
to those visiting the community and who are looking for
area and business information. You can also check us out
on the web at www.lassencountychamber.org and on
Facebook.
To check on today’s headlines issues relating to
business in California, from the economy, to public affairs,
politics, and pending legislation, log on to
www.calchamber.com.
Be sure that the Chamber’s visitor lobby has an
adequate supply of your business cards and brochures on
hand to promote your business throughout the year. This is
a free marketing service that is available to all Chamber
members. Many brochures and business cards were
depleted over the busy summer season and are in need of
restocking.
For a complete list of events planned in Lassen County
log on to www.lassencountychamber.org and click on
event calendar. If your business, club, or organization is
planning a special event, be sure to forward the information
to the Chamber office so that we can add it to the calendar.
This is a free service provided to the entire community.
• Thank you to Diamond Mountain Casino & Hotel for
hosting the February mixer. This was the first time that
they have had the chance to host a mixer and the first
time a February mixer had weather nice enough to be
outside! A great time was had by all in attendance. Thank
you to the entire crew at Tri Counties Bank.
• Thank you to Miss Lassen County Emily Egan for
her help with the raffle at the February Mixer.
Are you looking for new ways
to promote your business?
Consider advertising in the monthly Chamber newsletter
which goes out via email to over 300 local business owners,
organizations, individuals, and city/county officials. It’s a
great way to get the word out when you are hosting an
event or just to remind potential customers what you have
to offer.
One way to advertise in the newsletter is to submit an
“insert” which is a full page flyer (can be front and back) to
be included in the newsletters. The advantage of an insert
is that it can be easily copied and hung up on a bulletin
board or in a window to help promote your sale or
event. The cost for an “insert” is $35 per month/ per insert.
Another way to advertise in the newsletter is to place an
ad on the “ad page”. Ads can be “small” for $100 per
calendar year or “large” for $200 per calendar year. The
cost can be prorated should you decide to begin advertising
mid-year. Ads may consist of a copy of your business card,
a coupon, or whatever you feel would best promote your
business.
