All Chamber committees are in full MARCH 2015 swing and preparing for the upcoming event season. You do not need to be on the board to serve on committees and we encourage your involvement! Susanville Best of Broadway 2015 Concert Series “The Masquerade” Friday and Saturday, March 6-7 & March 13-14 at 7:00 pm 2:00 pm Saturday matinees This Broadway revue show will include selections from Grease, Annie Get Your Gun, Jekyll & Hyde, Into the Woods, Aladdin, Phantom of the Opera, and Spamalot. The Nethery family includes: Jennifer (wife of 16-years) and their 2-daughters; Gracie (Lassen High Freshman) and Taylor (Diamond View Elementary 6th grade). This was the first time that they have had the chance to host a mixer and the first time a February mixer had weather nice enough to be outside! Thank you Mountain Valley Living, Managing Editor/Publisher Eileen Majors, for allowing the Chamber to partner with you at the Reno Outdoor Recreation Show this month! ● The Chamber will be partnering with Mountain Valley Living Magazine to attend the Reno Tourism/Outdoor Recreation Trade Shows this month. We will be providing information about all the great outdoor recreation activities available in Lassen County. ● Thank you to those of you who have already sent in your membership renewal. Remember that your Chamber membership is tax deductible as a ‘necessary business expense.’ ● The Chamber newsletter is being mailed as a hard copy as well as emailed to all Chamber members. If you would prefer to only receive an email version please contact the Chamber office staff at 257-4323. ● Are you in compliance? A limited quantity of 2015 Labor Law Posters are still available at the Chamber office for $25.00 per poster to chamber members/or $35.00 per poster for non-chamber members. The poster contains the mandatory state and federal notices that must be posted at each work place. ● The Chamber office is open Monday thru Friday 9am to 4pm. The Chamber staff is available to provide information to those visiting the community and who are looking for area and business information. You can also check us out on the web at www.lassencountychamber.org ● To check on today’s headlines issues relating to business in California, from the economy, to public affairs, politics, and pending legislation, log on to www.calchamber.com. ● Be sure that the Chamber’s visitor lobby has an adequate supply of your business cards and brochures on hand to promote your business throughout the year. This is a free marketing service that is available to all Chamber members. Many brochures and business cards were depleted over the busy summer season and are in need of restocking. ● For a complete list of events planned in Lassen County log on to www.lassencountychamber.org and click on event calendar. If your business, club, or organization is planning a special event, be sure to forward the information to the Chamber office so that we can add it to the calendar. This is a free service provided to the entire community. ● Diamond Mountain Casino would like the community to know that they are happy to serve as a “point of sale location” for event tickets. Contact Kim Medders for more information at 257-1100, Ex. 117. ● The Lassen Humane Society annual spring yard sale is scheduled for May 16 and 17th. They will begin collecting donations on March 18th- donations can be dropped off Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 11am to 3pm, at the industrial building at the Lassen County Fairgrounds. For more information call 257-4555. The Lassen County Cattlemen & Cattlewomen will present the annual wine and beef tasting event on Friday, March 6, 2015, at the Susanville Elks Lodge, 6pm to 9pm. Presale tickets are on sale for $30 per person and can be purchased at the Chamber office or at the door the night of the event for $35 per person.
