RIVER INN MOTEL
Triple E Investment Company Incorporated was
organized in 1976 by three brothers, Ray, Darrell
and Jack Ellena. The brothers acquired and
developed several lodging properties. There were
three properties in Susanville — Best Western
Trailside Inn, Super 8 and River Inn. There also
was a Best Western Trailside Inn in Alturas,
California and a Best Trailside Inn in Carson City,
Nevada. Later Ray’s children, Bill, Ross and Jan
and Uncle Jack, developed the High Country Inn
in Susanville.
The Chamber of Commerce Board voted to participate in
the LLTT Farmers Market that runs June through
September. Our purpose is to spread the word about the
Shop/Live/Buy/Volunteer Local Campaign, as well as
increase awareness of Chamber activities and Chamber
member businesses. The Committee is looking for
volunteers willing to help staff the booth and help us
spread the word.
Pictured are board member, Gary Felt, and Susan Quale,
who attended the first farmers market. They reported that
attendees and vendors were happy to see the Chamber
there and they spent a lot of time chatting with shoppers.

and are now the sole owners. All of Triple E
Lodging properties serve their communities with
Certificates of Excellence received by Trip Advisor.
Triple E properties are now being operated by
second generation CEO, Bill Ellena, and third
generation operations manager, Jarrett Ellena.
Their mission is to always provide guests with a
pleasant lodging experience.
