VAYA CON DIOS, PADRE CASTRO …….
All parishoners are invited to attend a reception in honor of Father Jorge Castro on Sunday, July 12th at
2:30 PM in the Church Hall. Father Castro has received a new assignment from the Archdiocese of Hartford as
Administrator of St. Louis Parish in West Haven and will be r epor ting ther e on July 15th.
We are very grateful to have had Fr. Castro serving as Parochial Vicar here at Most Holy Trinity Church.
We will miss his inspiring homilies and friendly personality. The enthusiasm and high energy level that he brings
to every project in which he has been involved is very much appreciated. AND—-of course—-the talent and attention to detail he has displayed in coordinating the decorating of the Church and rectory to make our Easter , Lenten,
and Christmas season liturgies so special will be talked about for years to come !
Please join us in celebrating Father Jorge’s new assignment. Come and have a cup of coffee and share a
story or two, and wish Father congratulations and good luck in his new position. Arrangements for the party are
under the direction of Lynette Clinton and Sara Robles. See you there!!

This important initiative of the U.S, Conference of Bishops is a special time to pray for the protection of our religious liberty and to educate ourselves and others in the ways that this liberty has been infringed upon. This year’s
theme is “FREEDOM TO BEAR WITNESS”. Many different celebrations will take place across the state.
Father Jeff Gubbiotti’s parish, Church of the Assumption in Ansonia, will celebrate the fortnight on Tuesday,
June 30th, beginning with a Holy Hour with Eucharistic Adoration in the chapel at 7pm to thank God for His
many gifts and to pray that our government will respect the right to freedom of religion so that we may serve the
world according to our Catholic conscience, bearing witness in word and in deed. Following Benediction, they
will have a patriotic ice cream sundae party and discuss religious freedom topics. The evening will conclude
with a sparkling fireworks display (weather permitting) set to music which will honor Jesus, the Lightof the
World. Father Jeff invites your family to join in the celebration with his parish.

__AMERICAN RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE
August 13th 11am-7pm
Strengthen within us the pursuit of justice,
the desire for equality, the love of true freedom.
May all the citizens of our country
work unceasingly to promote the common good
so that all may share in the pursuit of happiness
sought by the founders of our land. Amen
The Most Holy Trinity Christians In Action Committee,
along with the American Red
Cross, encourages new and veteran blood donors to

Now is the time to be a true patriot and schedule a
blood donation appointment. You can do so now
online at www.redcrossblood.org.
