The Experience: • Small student-to-teacher ratios foster individualized attention (10:1 in Lower School; 7:1 in Middle School; 6:1 in Upper School). The Learning Support Team provides extra support in all three divisions. • Award-winning arts program begins in pre-kindergarten and includes both fine and performing arts • A competitive athletics program includes almost 60 teams and a no-cut policy in Middle School. • Extracurricular clubs and activities include Mandarin Chinese, Beekeeping, Mock Trial, Computer Coding, and STEM Club. The Result: • University of Georgia admitted 75 percent of the 2016 early action applicants. • According to the University System of Georgia’s most recent data, SCDS graduates’ first-year (in-college) GPA performance (3.31) was the highest in the region (including contiguous counties) and the only at or above 3.0. • The Class of 2015 was offered over $2.5 million in scholarships (in addition to HOPE). • During the past five years, graduates have matriculated to more than 100 colleges and universities, including Dartmouth, Duke, Emory, Georgetown, Stanford and Yale.
