PARISH NEWS Confirmed in the Spirit Sincere congratulations and prayerful best wishes to Ivet Orsini, Genavieve Maloney and David Weiss who, along with others from throughout the Diocese of Scranton, completed their initiation into the Catholic Church by receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation from Bishop Joseph Bambera. May they continue to follow the Holy Spirit as they strive to be strong and faithful Christians and witnesses of Jesus Christ in the world. Pentecost “Today’s [Feast of Pentecost] is a great prayer which the Church, in union with Jesus, raises up to the Father, asking him to renew the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. May each of us, and every group and movement, in the harmony of the Church, cry out to the Father and implore this gift. Today too, as at her origins, the Church, in union with Mary, cries out: ‘Veni, Sancte Spiritus! Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful, and kindle in them the fire of your love!’ Amen.” 9:00 a.m. Mary Kulick (Nancy Cawley) **NO 12:10 p.m. Mass** Tuesday, May 26 6:30 a.m. Maryanne Donohue (Carolyn James) 8:00 a.m. 12:10 p.m. Dec’d of Joseph Borsuk Family (Marian Borsuk) Margaret C.
