provides you with peace of mind because, unfortunately, the unexpected does
sometimes occur. A brief summary of the plan follows.
Section I† Travel Arrangement Protection
Trip Cancellation: If you have to cancel your vacation for certain, specified
reasons (such as injury, illness or a death affecting you, your immediate family
or your traveling companion), Carnival will refund your otherwise nonrefundable
Carnival cruise and air cancellation charges, up to the Total Cruise Vacation Cost.
Important: As an added service to Carnival’s guests purchasing the plan,
in the event you are denied a cash refund for your trip cancellation due
to a ‘‘pre-existing condition’’ (as detailed in the Plan Description), Carnival
will instead provide you with a future cruise credit in the amount of your
cancellation penalty.
Custom Fly Aweigh® Services
At Carnival we do everything possible to arrange the most convenient and
comfortable flights for all our guests. But if you would like us to customize
your flight arrangements, just let us know. If you want to spend a few days
before or after your cruise in the city of your ship’s departure, we can adjust
the date of your flight.
If you prefer a specific airline, we’d be happy to satisfy your request whenever
possible. And we can even make arrangements for you to upgrade to First
class. The nonrefundable charge for any or all of these services is $50 per
guest ($75 for Europe), subject to change, plus any additional airline charges.
The service is available for guests under deposit until 45 days prior to sailing
(60 days for Alaska and Europe cruises). Guests booked on Carnival chartered
flights may not be eligible for Custom Fly Aweigh Services. Guests may use
our scheduled transfer service between the airport and pier only on arrival
and departure cruise dates.

Liability and Relation with Airlines
If, due to any cause beyond our control, we are unable to arrange for air travel
(for example, because of capacity controls placed upon us by airlines due to
the types of fares under which we book), or the air travel we arrange is unavailable or
otherwise fails to materialize, our liability will be limited to refunding the air addon amount paid to us. We assume no liability for any acts or omissions of any
airline, including, without limitation, those involving cancellation of flights, schedule
changes, reroutings, damage to or delay or loss of baggage, flight delays,
equipment failures, accidents, pilot or other staff shortages, overbooking or
computer errors. The liabilities and obligations of an airline to you, and your
rights as an airline passenger, are subject to any and all terms and conditions
of the airline’s ticket and tariffs.
Transfer Services
Trip Interruption: If you have to leave your vacation unexpectedly (again, for
specified reasons such as illness as described above), Carnival will refund to
you the unused, nonrefundable portion of your cruise vacation payment, plus
reimburse you for the cost of returning home, up to the Total Cruise Vacation Cost.
Trip Delay: If you miss the departure of your cruise due to carrier-caused delays
or other specified reasons, Carnival will reimburse you up to $500 for additional
accommodations, meals and “catch-up” transportation expenses.
Section II* Travel Protection Coverage & Services
Baggage Protection: If your baggage or personal property is lost or damaged,
the Plan will cover up to $1,500. If your bags are delayed or misdirected by a
common carrier for more than 24 hours, the Plan will reimburse you up to $500
for the purchase of necessary personal effects.
Medical Expense Coverage: Should you become injured or sick during your
vacation, the Plan will reimburse you up to $10,000 for necessary medical
expenses.
Emergency Evacuation: In the event that a serious illness or injury requires
air or ground transportation to a specialized facility or to return home, the Plan
provides up to $30,000 in covered medical services and supplies (coordinated
by our 24-hour assistance provider) to help ensure your safe transport.
24-Hour Assistance: One toll-free telephone call gives you access to a
worldwide network of medical and travel-related professionals who will work
together to solve your medical or travel-related problem.

Guests who do not purchase Carnival’s Fly Aweigh program have the option of
purchasing airport/pier one-way or round-trip transfers for the day of
embarkation and debarkation. For Alaska and Europe cruises, Carnival highly
recommends purchase of the optional 11/2 hour motorcoach transportation
for guests making their own travel arrangements. Alternate transportation is
costly, and taxi service is very limited with no scheduled transportation service
from the Port of Civitavecchia to the train station. This service is available only
during normal operating hours. Guests who do not purchase Carnival’s Fly
Aweigh program and do not purchase transfers are responsible for all
transportation to and from the pier. Advance reservations are required 7 days

FUNPASS® Advance Registration – U.S. Border Security Act
Carnival is required to provide the Department of Homeland Security with specific
guest information and a final departure manifest 60 minutes prior to departure. To comply,
you must register in advance of your cruise by going online to carnival.com/mycruise
and clicking on the FUNPASS icon. You will need your Carnival booking number, ship
and sail date to access your record. Once you complete the required fields of pertinent
information, you will obtain a FunPass that will allow you to “fast track” through a
documentation verification process at embarkation. If you do not have Internet access,
you can send this information via fax. Contact Carnival Reservations at 1-866-236-6670
for the Advanced Reservations Form. Failure to provide the information before midnight
of the day prior to the departure date will result in delays in embarkation and will
require guest to check in at least 90 minutes prior to the published sailing time.

Alaska and Europe Cruises: Comfortable shoes and a just-in-case raincoat. Bring a sweater
if you are traveling to the glaciers, along with a raincoat and umbrella, because it is often cold
and windy in such areas. Special note: It is essential that you wear the proper apparel when
visiting the Vatican and other religious sites (no bare legs or shoulders).

Passports are required for air travel to or from Canada, Europe, Mexico, the Caribbean,

embark or debark in Vancouver for our Alaska or Hawaii cruises, and our
Canadian guests who travel by air to or from any of our U.S. embarkation ports.
All guests must present the required documentation at embarkation. Guests without the
required documentation will be denied boarding and no refund will be issued. Please understand
that Carnival will strictly enforce this requirement to be in compliance with this important
U.S. Government mandate.
Proper travel documentation is required at embarkation and throughout the cruise. Even
though a guest has completed registration using FUNPASS, it is still the responsibility of the
guest to bring all required travel documents. Guest should check with their travel agent
and/or government authority to determine the travel documents necessary for each port of
call. Carnival assumes no responsibility for advising guests of immigration requirements.
Carnival strongly recommends guests travel with a passport since it will expedite clearance
by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. U.S. Alien Residents need a valid Alien
Resident Card. Canadian citizens must present a valid passport. Non-U.S. citizens need a
valid passport and a valid, unexpired U.S. Multiple Re-entry Visa, if applicable. Guest names
on travel documents (passport, Alien Resident Card, birth certificate, etc.) must be identical
to those on the cruise and airline tickets. Otherwise, proof of name change (e.g., a marriage
license) OR a valid driver’s license (or other government-issued photo ID) must be presented.

Baggage Liability
We highly recommend that all guests purchase a vacation protection policy covering baggage,
contents and accidents. Carnival’s Cruise Vacation Protection PlanSM is a comprehensive
program that is attractively priced. If you choose not to purchase travel protection, Carnival’s
liability for lost or damaged baggage, contents and personal possessions is limited to a maximum
of $50 per bag with a maximum total limitation of $100 per stateroom regardless of the number
of bags. Carnival cannot accept liability for loss or theft of money, jewelry or other valuables left
in the stateroom or public areas on board. Safe-deposit boxes are available in your stateroom, as
