Todd A. Stottlemyer
Todd A. Stottlemyer currently serves as an Executive Vice President and member of the executive
management team for the Inova Health System, a 16,000 employee healthcare organization serving the
Northern Virginia region. Stottlemyer’s responsibilities include: information technology; biomedical
engineering; General Counsel/legal services; corporate governance; compliance and privacy; risk
management; Inova’s three foundations; governmental affairs; and community affairs. Additionally,
Stottlemyer is responsible for the executive direction of Inova’s internal and external communications
functions, co-leads merger and acquisition activities, and has a system-wide innovation leadership
role.
Prior to joining the Inova Health System, Stottlemyer was President and Chief Executive Officer and a
member of the Board of Directors of the National Federation of Independent Business. In this
capacity, Stottlemyer led the nation’s largest business association representing small and independent
business owners across the United States. With employees in all 50 states and annual revenue of more
than $105 million, NFIB is the voice for small and independent businesses in Washington, DC and all
50 state capitals.
Before NFIB, Stottlemyer was a founder, Chief Executive Officer, and a member of the Board of
Directors of Apogen Technologies, an information technology company, backed by Arlington Capital
Partners, a private equity firm. During Stottlemyer’s almost three-year tenure as CEO of Apogen, the
company’s annual revenue grew to over $200 million. In September 2005, Stottlemyer led the
successful sale of Apogen to QinetiQ, a publicly traded British technology company with more than
$2 billion in annual revenue. During Stottlemyer’s tenure, Apogen was named as one of the top 50
best places to work in the Washington, DC area and as one of the top 20 best places to work in the
New Orleans, LA area.
Before Apogen, Stottlemyer served as President of McGuireWoods Consulting and was a founder and
Managing Director of McGuireWoods Capital Group, where he advised information technology and
other companies on growth strategies, acquisitions, management buyouts, strategic investments, and
acquisition integration.
Prior to McGuireWoods Consulting, Stottlemyer served as Executive Vice President and Chief
Financial and Administrative Officer of BTG, Inc., a 1,800 employee, publicly traded information
technology company with annual revenue of approximately $300 million. Previously, Stottlemyer
was a Corporate Vice President and member of the executive management team of BDM International,
Inc., a publicly traded information technology company with annual revenue exceeding $1 billion and
approximately 9,300 employees in more than 110 offices worldwide. During his tenure at BDM, the
company was publicly traded on two separate occasions, and the management team accomplished a
buyout with The Carlyle Group. As Corporate Vice President at BDM, Stottlemyer was actively

involved in corporate strategy and business planning, and he had responsibility for the company’s
mergers and acquisitions, shareholder relations, public affairs, media relations, and government affairs
activities.
Stottlemyer attended the College of William and Mary on a full athletic scholarship, graduating Phi
Beta Kappa in 1985 with a B.A. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the Georgetown University
Law Center in 1991, graduating Cum Laude. Stottlemyer is a member of the Virginia State Bar.
