Renewal This product category applies to existing CA customers who currently own the product but need to renew their maintenance agreement. The maintenance agreement must be valid (it has not lapsed yet) or be within the grace period for that geo (60 days for North America or 30 days for ROW). Upgrade This product category applies to CA customers who own threat products but the maintenance agreements have lapsed. It also applies to CA customers who own a different CA threat product than the new one being purchased (e.g., currently has CA Anti-Virus and is now purchasing CA Host-Based Intrusion Prevention System). Reminder Notification CA sends reminder notifications to end-users letting them know when their maintenance agreement is about to expire. Offer to renew their existing agreement and purchase a complementary CA solution Purchasing Options Active Maintenance Agreement Renewal opportunity is delivered to the original partner who sold it. Expired Maintenance Agreement If customer does not renew through the partner, CA offers customers with expired licenses several options to renew including: referral to preferred partner or CA direct.
