Rumba en Chiva includes snacks, a typical “vallenato” music band, and a tour of the city that ends in a dance club in the old city. Price is $30,000 pesos/person. Sunday, October 2 Excursion Option 1: Rosario Islands (Isla del Encanto) Option 2: City Tour All Day, begins at 8 am Begins at 2pm Rosario Islands are 46 km southwest of Cartagena (about an hour by speedboat) and offer incredible white, sandy beaches and crystal blue waters. A true Caribbean paradise! City tour includes the Inquisition Palace, San Felipe de Barajas Castle, Walled city, La Popa convent, Clock tower. Package includes transportation from the harbor to the island, a bilingual guide and a lunch buffet. The price (in pesos) is: Adults: $95,000 Children (4-10): $80,000 The price does not include tickets to the national park ($12,000 p/p), return to the hotel from the harbor or beverages. Optional extras include: entrance to the Oceanario ($20,000 p/p), snorkeling ($33,000 p/p), scuba diving with oxygen tank ($130,000 p/p). The price in pesos: Transportation bus with air conditioner - $60,000 In Chiva - $35,000 (does not include Santuario de la Popa) All transportation to restaurants and activities is coordinated by Hotel Caribe. Dinners and excursion activities provide a great way for GnosisGIS 2011 attendees to interact outside of the meeting but are completely optional. Registration for the meeting does not include dinners or excursions.
