guys! Learn how to analyze fingerprints and identify blood types and DNA samples. Meet a real canine unit and
learn how they can sniff out clues. At the end of the week, you’ll put your knowledge to the test by
participating in a simulated crime scene. Criminals beware!

Ghost Hunters

Do you believe in ghosts? Do they exist? You will decide! Using computers, we will take an online journey to
“haunted” places. Using EMF detectors, digital, and video cameras, we’ll be ghost investigators for a week.
We’ll listen to stories, look at evidence, and try to recreate a “haunting” through scientific experiments.
One day we’ll meet at a cemetery to do experiments and see what we can discover. Instructor: Lisa Smith
Young Marine Biologists

popular marine animals such as sea turtles, sharks, whales, and dolphins. Find out what they eat and if

Collision Cars

It is brain over brawn in this motorized machine battle. You and a partner will learn to design and build
your own motorized battle vehicles using unique LEGO® kits that battle demolition-derby style. Each
team attempts to exploit the design weaknesses or mechanical advantage of their opponents’ bot. You will
then try to flip, push, or smash your opponent's battle vehicles. This is a class of exploration, problem
solving, and risk-taking with a goal of learning and experimenting with how machines work and compete.
Create Your Own Candy Company

You will create and operate your own candy company. Think about Charlie and the Chocolate Factory –
only this is YOUR business. You will make and eat your own product as well as develop a business plan
necessary to operate your own business. Make your own commercial! Come and find out if you have what

Who Wants to be a Veterinarian?

Do you love animals? Enjoy the opportunity to meet and talk with a local veterinarian! Humane Society employees will share some success stories of their field, as well as help you learn some basic things you can do to
help treat animals. Create a brochure that will help guide others in the things anyone can do to help animals.

Magical Castles,Wizards, and Dragons

add more features. Graphics design and graphics animation topics will also be covered. Learn how to
design your own version of PacMan® and several others. Your imagination is the limit!

Become a junior sleuth and learn how to solve mysteries and crimes like Sherlock Holmes! Learn to analyze
fingerprints and identify blood types and DNA samples. Experience the thrill of finding clues and putting
them all together to solve the case. Meet a real Forensic Scientist and see how the experts do it! See
canine units find clues! This class teaches the methodology and science behind crime-scene detection. You’ll
become a forensic scientist, and put your knowledge to the test by participating in a simulated crime scene.
