WELCOME TO THE 22nd ANNUAL Blue Ridge BBQ FESTIVAL The 22nd annual Blue Ridge BBQ & Music Festival, presented by the Carolina Foothills Chamber of Commerce, will be held Friday, June 12, and Saturday, June 13, 2015, at Harmon Field in Tryon, NC. This event is the Official North Carolina State Barbecue Championship Cookoff as proclaimed by North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory, and is a Kansas City Barbecue Society sanctioned contest. Additional opportunities to win cash and trophies include Whole Hog, Anything But, and Dessert competitions. Altogether, this creates a purse of — $20,000 Paying 10 places overall and in KCBS categories June 12 & 13 TRYON, NORTH CAROLINA www.BlueRidgeBBQFestival.com The 2015 BBQ Store The Contest The Blue Ridge BBQ Festival is sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society (KCBS) and their representatives will be present. Judging starts at noon on Saturday, June 13, using the blind judging technique. The contest consists of the four KCBS categories which are required entry in order to quality for the Grand championship as well as for the North Carolina Governor’s Award. This is a prominent site, right on the infield. Staffed by Festival volunteers, the BBQ Store stocks such cooker-produced items as: commercial rubs and sauces, books and videos, cooking related items, pins and paraphernalia relating to individual teams. The BBQ Store will sell your items using currently accepted Festival currency, and the Festival will retain 20 cents of every dollar and return the rest to you. (Please note: T-shirts and ball caps are not allowed as the Festival has its own to sell.) If you wish to participate in the BBQ Store, please return the form below with your application.
