 Communication File World Cup – IFSA Barcelona 2009 World Cup – 18‐19‐20september INTRODUCTION Organised by Rodats, once again, the Spanish World Cup, will take place in the verry center of Barcelona. Sport, sun, beach and fiesta, what else do you need?? Event Details: The dates chosen for the event are 18, September 19 and September 20, 2009. The tournament will take place this year in the Parque del Clot (C / C Escultors Clapera / Cabanyal), a large outdoor space and the capability to host an event of this nature. Spot: The floor is made of Plain Cement. In case of rain, the competition will be moved to an indoor wooden floor. Disciplines of competitions: fresstyle slalom speed slalom free jump high jump slides Competitors will be divided in categories: Men Women Inscriptions: Price of the inscription 30 Euros for Spanish federated skaters (On‐line payment only) 30 Euros for non Spanish or non federated skaters (On‐line payment only) 40 Euros payment on the day of the event There is the possibility to subscribe to an insurance (20 euros) The organisation decline any responsibility if skaters do not subscribe to the insurance. Spanish Federated don’t need to subscribe to the insurance. Payment are available on line: www.ifsasports.org Registrations will close at midnight the 12th September 09. The schedule is an estimate, amendments to the schedule can be done up to the competition day. Therefore make sure to confirm timing and events on D‐day. Moreover, the judge manager can amend the schedule on the day if there is a sport condition requirement. If your nationality require a visa application please contact the organisation at: info@rodats.com Air travel: There is a line of railway, the C10, which connects the airport to central Barcelona.Trains run every half hour and the journey takes about 25 minutes. The train stops in Sants station (connection with metro line 3‐line 5‐green and blue) and Paseo de Gracia in (connection with Metro Line 2‐lilac, green and 3‐Line 4‐Yellow Line), 5 minutes from the Plaza Catalunya. * By bus: There is the option to take the Aerobus, a bus that connects directly to the airport and downtown Barcelona. There are two stops in the city, Plaza España (connection with Metro Line 1 and Line 3‐red‐green) and Plaza Catalunya (connection with Metro Line 1 and Line 3‐red‐green). The bus runs every 15 minutes or so. Consult timetables. * By taxi: It is the most convenient and fast, although more expensive. The trip usually costs about 25‐30 € to the city center, with a surcharge for each bag carried.Train travel: Details about which rain station to use and facilities to go from train station to competition are. Clot park is located about 200 meters from the stop of meters Clot (Line 1 and Line 2‐red‐purple) and about 250 meters from the stop of Glòries (Line 1‐red) * By train: There is the chance to Clot with RENFE. Consult timetables and routes. The rail line from the airport does not provide access to the Clot. * By bus: There are several lines about buses that connect the park to other areas of Clot Barcelona: 7, 33.43, 44, 56, 60, 92, B20, B21, B24, N2, N7 and N9.
