Beginning Traditional Fencing
Learn the classical French school of fencing. It is a traditional
fencing process that goes back over three hundred and fifty years.
It is very precise and methodical, and produces a style of fencing
that is applicable to a wide range of physical types. With the French
school, since it is a strategy-driven fencing process, you don’t have to
be the strongest, the fastest, or the most aggressive. With the French
school, you learn to out-think your opponent. This approach makes
fencing a very flexible game. This class is for persons with little to
no fencing experience. All necessary equipment will be provided.
Students should wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes.
Class is limited to 10 students.

traditional style going back for a couple hundred years. This is not
the fencing you see at the Olympics nor what you see in the movies,
it’s not flashy, it’s like physical chess. This class will be divided into
2 sessions, one devoted to lessons and drills and the remainder of
the time will be for open bouting. All fencers must provide their
own equipment and it must be in good repair.

Beginner Guitar Group Lessons
New!
In this class you will acquire the fundamental building blocks you
need to achieve any musical goal on the guitar, whether it’s to be a
professional musician or just to be able to sit around a campfire and
play some of your favorite songs. This program covers positioning
and tuning your guitar, how to read and understand chord charts,
how to put simple chord progressions together that are used in
thousands of your favorite songs, and even an introduction into
reading tablature. This course is designed for beginners and is
perfect for anyone who ever thought learning to play the guitar was
too expensive or too difficult. Both acoustic and electric guitars are
welcome.

Attention Adult Education Registrants!
Register Early…Prompt registration helps avoid disappointment when classes fill quickly. It also
helps avoid the disappointment of canceling a class due to low enrollment, only to find that last
minute registrations would have filled it.
Register for a Class in any School District…You can register for any class in any of the
Cooperating School Districts at no additional cost.
No News is Good News…Consider yourself registered for a class unless you receive your check
back in the mail. Your check may be held until the registration deadline to be sure there are
enough registrants to hold the class. To help keep the classes reasonably priced, we do not send
out confirmation notices.
For Emergency Cancellations…When bad weather or other emergencies cause cancellation of
the regular school day, Community Education activities scheduled during that evening will not
be held. Please tune into your local television station or go to the district website for information
about closings.
Spring Class Registration Deadline is February 28th
