The FMB appreciated the hospitality shown to us by the Donnell Middle School Music Department. Our April meeting was held at Donnell, where we were treated to performances by Shockwave Middle School Drumline and Fusion Show Choir. Thank you to Mrs. Baratta and Mr. Sheehe and to the music students for sharing your talents with us! Our new fiscal year begins on May 1. We encourage everyone to become a financially supporting member of FMB. Please complete the attached membership form and return it with your contribution. All contributions received after May 1 will be recognized for the 2010-2011 school year. Also, please join us at our next meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 3 in the Music Wing at Findlay High School. We will vote on the officers and work on plans for next year. Proceeds from this raffle will be utilized to purchase goods and services for all students in the Findlay City Schools music program. Also, FHS and middle school “note” signs are available at upcoming music department events or by completing and submitting your payment with the attached form. Look for the FMB display at the spring concerts and events! Stop by and learn more about how YOU can become involved in FMB. SUPPORT OUR MUSIC PROGRAM WITH SCRIP Please remember that the Scrip fundraising program is a year-round program. Plan to continue to enjoy the ease of shopping on line during the summer months while supporting your child’s music ensemble and the FMB. Scrip is fundraising while you shop®. The program allows our music families to purchase Scrip for everyday expenses like food, clothing, and entertainment while earning a percentage of each dollar of Scrip purchased back in revenue. Scrip is "no-selling" fundraising. For our program, revenues are shared 50/50 between FMB and participating groups. The families can decide to use this revenue towards individual student’s trip accounts, etc. or apply it to the group’s general fund. It’s easy to get started. Contact Mark Olson at fmb@findlaycityschools.org and he will help you sign up for this great fundraising project for our music program. The FHS Chamber Orchestra recently performed their spring program as part of the First Presbyterian Church Concert Series.
