2 Rajipa no Rajmarg Samuh Gaan And Rajipa no Rajmarg Authors Sahitya Lekhan Vibhag, SMVS Translated By Canada Satsang Mandal Publisher Satsang Sahitya Department Swaminarayan Dham, Gandhinagar - 382007. 3 Rajipa no Rajmarg Samuh Gaan • Our one and only life goal must be to please our Supreme Lord Swaminarayan and once one understands Supreme Lord Swaminarayan’s sarvopari nishtha, devotees who develop good habits of bhajan-bhakti can earn extraordinary rajipo of Supreme Lord Swaminarayan, whom also is referred to by faithful devotees as Maharaj. • Second sankalp of 2013 was ‘Kariye BhajanBhakti’. The main purpose of this sankalp was to develop a habit of bhajan-bhakti in all devotees. During that year Samuh Gaan rules had been given to build a strong attachment with Maharaj and to please Maharaj. In the current year, 2014, we have been given Samuh Gaan rules to please Maharaj and to further strengthen our habit of bhajan – bhakti. • So HDH Bapji and HH Swamishri have given order to all saints, devotees, children and 4 Rajipa no Rajmarg elders to perform Samuh Gaan with full concentration so that one can please Maharaj and can have strong attachment with Maharaj. If performed with strong attachment, all of the sadhan one does will definitely reach Maharaj. • How to perform Samuh Gaan ? 1. Samuh Gaan is being performed in all SMVS temples every morning. If possible, one should attend it for most attachment to Maharaj. 2. We have been given various kirtans for various days of the week for Samuh Gaan. One should perform Samuh Gaan of the specific kirtans for that day. For each day, there are 2 kirtans. The first kirtan is a ‘Prarthna’. The second one is in relation to ‘Samjan’ or ‘Vartan’. One person should sing one line of the kirtan and the rest should repeat it. This process continues until both kirtans have been sung. 3. Even if there are only 2 members in the house, they should still perform Samuh Gaan in the same manner as described above. The reason for singing each line two times is so we can sing it properly the first time and for the sec- 5 Rajipa no Rajmarg ond time, we can do ‘Manan’ of the line or pray with passion to Maharaj according to the words of the kirtans. 4. One must not perform Samuh Gaan just for the sake of doing it and/or should not rush. One should do Samuh Gaan with full concentration by putting all other thoughts and activities aside so it can reach Maharaj. One should do it with the remembrance of Maharaj’s murti, with real need and hunger by showing full necessity. • Even while doing the Samuh Gaan of second kirtan, one should relate it with one’s own life. One should pray to Maharaj with determination to want to change one’s own life as per Maharaj’s wishes in this kirtan. One should do Samuh Gaan like this. • If one does Samuh Gaan as shown above, then the motive of Samuh Gaan can be fulfilled. One can take extraordinary benefits from doing Samuh Gaan: one can please Maharaj, one can save one’s own time, and one’s bhajan- 6 Rajipa no Rajmarg • • bhakti can reach Maharaj. If possible, one should make Samuh Gaan kirtans by heart so one can do Samuh Gaan with full concentration. One can attach with Maharaj by this kirtans any time. One has to sing them every week so it can be remembered very easily and there is no chance to forget them. One must have desire to remember the kirtans. One can find all these Samuh Gaan kirtans in the kirtan CDs published by SMVS and are normally sung by saints or devotees in sabhas or functions in temples. That’s why these kirtan’s tunes are well known. This is the reason why a CD for the Samuh Gaan kirtans for this year, 2014, has not been published by the sanstha. 7 Rajipa no Rajmarg Monday Pad – 1 : Prarthna Chho prabhu Shri Ghanshyam jaykari… Sahjanand hari Swaminarayan, Ek j chho avtari; Sarvopari harikrishna prabhu ma, bhakti achal amari… Chho prabhu 01 Dinbandhu tame daya karine, birad aap vichari; Dehbhav tana sakal dosh thi, lejo nath ugari…. Sankalp : 1 –- Section :: 11 Sankalp To develop aatmabuddhi with Motapurush “Develop ‘Tirthbuddhi’ in Motapurush” What is ‘Tirthbuddhi’? • The way one understands that pilgrim is divine, one should understand the same divinity in Motapurush. That is ‘Tirthbuddhi’. Why one has to do ‘Tirthbuddhi’ in Motapurush? • Firstly, one has to understand why there is divinity in pilgrim places. Divinity exists because these places have some connection with Maharaj. But they are inanimate (vijati) divya whereas Motapurush is animate (sajati) divya. 21 • 1) 2) 3) 4) 5) Rajipa no Rajmarg The major reason for why developing tirthbuddhi in Motapurush is essential is because Motapurush have reached ultimate transcendence (purshottamroop) and because of this, Motapurush’s doer in its entirety is Maharaj. By having divinity in pilgrims one can always remember Maharaj, the only result one can get from this is to be relieved from his/her sins. Whereas if one has divinity in Motapurush…… Makes one to understand the reality of Maharaj’s swaroop. Will clear one’s all spiritual debit balances of not only one birth but infinite births. Can clear one’s soul from inner enemies troubling since ages. Can make one eligible for ‘Murtisukh’ by making one understand his/her own identity? Gives divine understanding which will make him happy in this life and thereafter. 22 Rajipa no Rajmarg 6) Can give divine happiness which one can get after death only. We can get all these and many other results if we do ‘Tirthbuddhi’ that is ‘Divyabhav’ for Motapurush. So we should always do ‘Tirthbuddhi’ in Motapurush. We should have eagerness for darshan samagam of Motapurush like we have for pilgrims. • Worldly people donate more in pilgrims than other places. Because it has relation with god, belief says even if you do small donation in pilgrim, you will get big results. Whereas Motapurush is the one who is giving that divinity to pilgrims. How much we can get by doing his sewa…!! Shriji Maharaj has explained it in 4th Vachnamrut of Jetalpur, “…Your story is different, because you observe righteousness rules. Because of this if any one who feeds saints like you achieves the 23 Rajipa no Rajmarg merit of many feasts. He will eventually attain salvation…” • By only feeding, one can be free from sins been done in last infinite births and can get ultimate salvation. • Even the rivers and ponds in which Motapurush wash feet become pilgrim. • If Motapurush is sitting under the shadow of any tree and someone eats the fruit of that tree can get ultimate salvation. What a mercy…!! • Small business gets a huge profit means earn too much by doing sewa of Motapurush. Incident : • Once Sadguru Brahmanand Swami fell ill while doing vicharan. He wasn’t able to walk because of very high fever. One nomad was coming with his bullocks. One bullock was really healthy. Sadguru Brahmanand Swami sat on it and reached next village. For such minor sewa 24 • • • Rajipa no Rajmarg Maharaj gave birth to that bullock in satsang and gave it promise of salvation. Once Sadguru Muktanand Swami and Sadguru Brahmanand Swami were doing vicharan and they were walking on road. One little boy was coming towards them. He was eating parched fresh wheat. Swami asked for wheat. Boy gave hand full of wheat… Only little sewa and swami gave him blessings that “when you will be having last breaths, we will come with Maharaj and wheat to take you to the Murti….” What a mercy… !! Premji Thakkar from Mendarda was having cow and his cow’s milk was going for saint’s sewa. Resulting, when that cow was at last stage of life Maharaj gave her darshan and took her to his Murti. We have been gifted by pair of Satpurush, who can give us huge reward for very little sewa, who can hide in Maharaj’s Murti and can teach people the same who comes in his contact, so let’s do ‘Tirthbuddhi’ in such pair of Satpurush… 25 Rajipa no Rajmarg 1 Infinite immovable pilgrims are in the feet of Motapurush… All the acts of Motapurush have been done by Maharaj. He always resides in Murti. He is never apart from Murti even for a fraction of second. That’s why it has been said that there are infinite immovable pilgrims are in the feet of Motapurush. Incident : • Sadguru Nirgundasji Swami was bathing in Lakhaiwadi. That water was flowing in the front art of the well. Laxmirambhai was putting it (water) on his head. Seeing that Swamishri asked, “What are you doing?” Laxmirambhai replied, “Revd. Swami, I am penniless, unhealthy, poor Brahmin, how can I afford to go on pilgrimage to Kashi, Dwarika, Gayaji, Jagannathpuri, Ganga, Godavari, Saraswati, and Yamuna etc? For me all the pilrimages are here today.” Having such understanding if one puts the water in which motas have bathed on • 26 Rajipa no Rajmarg his head, his all five great sins, etc will be burnt and will get ultimate liberation. - Bapashri ni Vato : Part – 1, Varta – 114 • Whenever P. P. Bapji is having bath, even our dear P. Swamishri put that water on head. • Meghjibhai was son of Muktraj Parvatbhai in avarbhav. He wanted to go to all the pilgrims but Parvatbhai didn’t agree with this, still he went. Sadguru Gopalanand Swami made him understand that infinite pilgrims are in his father’s feet. When he went back to his home and pleaded his father then he saw them in his feet. - Bapashri ni Vato : Part – 1, Varta – 121 • Motapurush is Jangam(movable) pilgrim who can create infinite immovable pilgrims. Incident : • One devote went to Sorath to do panchtithi. Means old temple visit & darshan wich made by Lord Swaminarayan. He went to do darshan 27 Rajipa no Rajmarg in one of the temple of Swaminarayan sect. He met one saint. After he did darshan, that saint asked, “Where are you coming from?” “From Ahmedabad Vasna temple…” Saint said, “Oh… Are you disciple of DevnandanSwami?” “Yes…” “But … you doesn’t look like true disciple or else why do you need to go to do darshan of all these pilgrims? Infinite pilgrims reside in the feet of DevnandanSwami. You got the best saint of sect. What is less in him so you had to come to do panchtithi! ?” • We have got the anadimukt SatpurushMotapurush by whom infinite immovable pilgrims got their holiness. We have got pragat and pratyaksh Lord Swaminarayan who can create infinite anadimukt… Not even that but he made us purshottamroop. Maharaj not away from us not even fraction of millimetre. If we understand ourselves such blessed then we don’t feel any weightage of all these avarbhav pilgrims (sect or other sect). Meaning we don’t feel that, we won’t get salvation without them. • We yet have dehbhav. Until we get sthiti, we 28 Rajipa no Rajmarg should do atambuddhi with Motapurush to get eligibility. How should we do the atmabudhhi…? The way we have divinity in pilgrims we should understand even infinite times more in Motapurush. Let’s put below things into practice to do atmabuddhi with Motapurush… 1. We should feel more happiness while doing darshan of Maharaj and Motapurush then doing darshan of pilgrims. We should always have eagerness of their darshan. 2. We should not have any desire to do darshan of all these pilgrims, or even we shouldn’t feel any incompleteness without darshan of pilgrims. 3. Even if we have to take our family for outing we should always prefer our SMVS temples like Swaminarayan dham, Vasna, Ghatlodiya, Naroda, Vadodara, Godhar, Mehsana, Rajkot where we don’t have to break our rules and regulation or we don’t have to go out of our upasna or we can get samagam of saints. 29 Rajipa no Rajmarg 4. People spend thousands of rupees and plenty of time to go to pilgrims but they only can get darshan, can’t get samagam, can’t even recognize own guilt’s, can’t even strengthen understanding of spiritual knowledge or swaroopnishtha. Rather our mind will be more wondered, becomes more extrovert. If we won’t be conscious then will do big loss by looking at other’s bad act and taking their abhav-avgun. That’s why it has been said in kirtan, “Kashi Kedar ne Dwarka dode, Jog ni jugti na jani re; Fera farine pachho ghar no ghar ma, Godho jodano jem ghani r e . ” 5. During that time Maharaj has established paroksh swaroops as per the situation, now by looking at them, there is a possibility that our or our family member’s nishtha goes weak rather than being strong. • “In shikshapatri Shriji Maharaj has said, to go on pilgrimage to Dwarika etc. what is the meaning of Dwarika?” Bapashri replied, “The one who can open the door of salvation means 30 Rajipa no Rajmarg liberate us and where such saints live should be associated with – is known as the pilgrimage of Dwarika.” - Bapashri ni Vato: Part – 1, Varta – 111 • Where if we can get to stay with motapurush for 5–7 days then he can free us from our inclination which we have since ages. He can make us introvert and he can make us experience Murtisukh. That why elderly saints said, “Uttama sahjavrutti, Madhyama dhyan dharna, Kanishtha shastrapathanam, Tirthatanam adhamadham” 6. That’s why by understanding Maharaj’s swaroop as it is now being a member of karan satsang we should understand our own swaroop and then be one with Maharaj. Enjoy the ultimate pleasure of Murti. That is what we have to actually do. So now we should leave our curiosity of knowledge and hobby of outing. 31 Rajipa no Rajmarg That’s why P. Swamishri says that, “Who ever want to be one with Murti has to leave the aspiration of going to the pilgrims of pratyaksh…” then how can we go to pilgrims of paroksh? ! • By going to paroksh pilgrims we are not being loyal to Maharaj. Maharaj is not pleased with this. Maharaj went to Pilgrimage for the welfare of millions and to give these Pilgrims their recognition as holy places by purifying them with his feet. The only swaroop for salvation is Maharaj whom we already got pragat and pratyaksh . Thus we have achieved salvation. • In the arti we sing every day, “Purshottam pragat nu, je darsan karse; Kal karm thi chhuti, kutumb sahit tarse.” • So, why go to Pilgrim….? Many people think that by going to Pilgrim we can become pur... 32 Rajipa no Rajmarg but we have got such supreme Lord, eternal and divine of all divines then are we still impure? No. So we should not believe that we can only purify ourselves by going to Pilgrims. • We have already got the Lord pragat and pratyaksh whose darshan we are going to have in the Pilgrims, all we have to do now is to be one with Murti and get ultimate pleasure of Murti. 2. Pilgrims burn the sins of millions while Motapurush burns the sins of the infinite pilgrims. • Through the pilgrims is the place where millions of people burn their sins but the pilgrims have to go to Motapurush to burn their sins. Incident : • When sadguru Harinarayandasji Swami used to abide in Muli one day two cows, black and coloured came to the compound of the temple and to wallow themselves in the dust. After sometime they became white. The devotees 33 Rajipa no Rajmarg asked swami what happened. Swami told them to ask the cows. Then the cows said that, “We are Ganga and Yamuna. People come to us to wash their sins so we became polluted. That’s why we have come to this holy land where Motapurush abide to wash our sins. By rolling in the dust of their feet the sins that people have poured in to us got burnt away. So we become pure. That is why we have turned to white from black and colourful cows.” • Infinite immovable pilgrims go to Motapurush (jangam tirth) to burn their sins. • So that by getting the blessings of salvation from the Motapurush where infinite immovable pilgrims get pure, we should feel ourselves complete and that is the main point of satsang. Let’s practice below in our life to do Tirthbuddhi in Motapurush… • We should feel completeness and freedom from all our sins when we get darshan, sparsh or sewa of Motapurush. Because Motapurush 34 Rajipa no Rajmarg is relieving us from the kal-karma-maya and from the fear of pap-yamdut by offering us the vartaman. He is making us anadimukta who is above aksharkoti and on the top of vyatirek sambandh. • We should always have desire, mercy and compassion to bring all satsangi and nonsatsangi to Motapurush and relieve them from sins. • The way we feel clean by having bath, same way we should feel purity by the touch of Motapurush and sambandh of Motapurush. 3.Pilgrims are vijati divya by the relation of Shriji Maharaj where Motapurush is sajati divya by the relation of Shriji Maharaj. Incident : • Once an erudite came to Sadguru Vrundavan Swami with the intention of testing swami and asked, “Have you seen Kashi?” Then swami said, “Which Kashi are you talking about ? Small Kashi or Big Kashi ?” The erudite wondered by 35 Rajipa no Rajmarg the listening to the question. So he asked, “Swami, there is only one Kashi then why are you mentioning two?” Then swami said, “where body is been cut by saw and people get worldly education is small Kashi which is like immovable pilgrim. The place where one can come out from the cycle of birth and death, one can be relieved from the fear of kal-karma-maya, and one can get ultimate salvation is big Kashi. The person who is sitting in front of you is bigger Kashi.” Let’s practice below in our life to do Tirthbuddhi in Motapurush… 1. We should understand importance of Maharaj and Motapurush more than blessed things which became blessed by the sambandh and is vijati divya. 2. We shouldn’t feel happy or satisfied by only getting blessed things. Even now Maharaj is pragat as pratima swaroop. So we should understand the same divinity in the people who have Maharaj’s sambandh. 36 Rajipa no Rajmarg 3. We shouldn’t have any attachment or affection towards blessed things. • One saint loved Maharaj’s charnarvind. He was at his last breath and had too much attachment with it. He had to take birth of caterpillar in charnarvind as result. 4. We should feel more happiness by getting the Maharaj and such Motapurush and how they made us instead seeing blessed things. 37 Rajipa no Rajmarg Sankalp Section::22 Sankalp :: 11 –- Section To do aatmabuddhi with Motapurush “Nihsanshaypanu in Motapurush’s vachan, have trust and give him fearlessness from our side” What is the meaning of Nihsanshaypanu in Motapurush’s vachan ? • Whatever Motapurush says we shouldn’t have any inference in it, or we shouldn’t have any sankalp-vikalp in it. We should accept it by heart and that is nihsanshaypanu. Incident : • In the middle of the day Maharaj told Ratanji, “I can’t read, get lantern… not this way keep it that way…” Maharaj told such thing to him many time still he didn’t have any sankalp that do you need lantern in the middle of the day?! Can’t even see this…!? What a state of nihsanshay position….!! 38 Rajipa no Rajmarg • Sadguru Gunatitanand Swami had 2 disciples. Balmukunddasji Swami and Krushnacharandasji Swami. Once swami ordered both of them, “You have to make rotla until 12 o’clock then after until 2 o’clock you have to sit on the stone without any sitting matt, under the heat of sun and do mala.” Both the saint followed this order word to word for 2 months. During that time both saint neither even discuss between eachother, “what is our mistake that swami gave us such punishment?” nor investigated by third person. Because they didn’t even have sankalp that ‘why so?’ they only thought that whatever Guru does is always for fair, always for our welfare. They accepted it with nihsanshaypanu. . 39 Rajipa no Rajmarg What is the meaning of trust in Motapurush’s vachan? • We should have the trust that whatever Motapurush is saying is fine, whatever he says it happens. Even though we can’t see or feel it like his statements still we should have that trust that it is exactly like he is saying. Incident : • Once Maharaj ordered Dadakhachar to put pumpkin in small pot, which was not possible still he started trying to put it in without any sankalp. Pumpkin didn’t go in the pot still Maharaj said that pumpkin is in the pot. Even then he didn’t have any sankalp, “bhale Dayalu! Even though I can see it out of the pot by my eyes but if you are saying then pumpkin is in the pot.” What a trust!! “Uttamray ne Shriji e kahyu em, Nakho kolu ghada ma akhu em, Lesh dagya nahi avshe ke kem…!?” • Once Sadguru Gopalanand Swami asked his disciples to cover books with plastic. But 40 • • • • Rajipa no Rajmarg atmosphere wasn’t like rain. So they didn’t cover the books. They were walking on the road and it rained. All the books got wet. This is called deficiency in trust… doesn’t matter if there is no atmosphere of rain still who is saying?! We trust atmosphere but not the person who is saying?! Either we see or not but it is exactly like what Motapurush is saying… this is called trust. We shouldn’t doubt any of Motapurush’s statement. We shouldn’t use our intelligence. Nihsanshaypanu and Trust are the two sides of one coin. If we are nihsanshay then we can have trust and if we have trust we can be nihsanshay. Once Maharaj asked, Dinanath Bhatt to write some pages and then tore them, again he did the same and repeated it for 2 to 4 times. Then Dinanath Bhatt thought is this God or what ? Once Maharaj made Shukswami to write whole book and when it was ready Maharaj put it in the water and made it wet. Still swami didn’t 41 Rajipa no Rajmarg have any sankalp… Why ? Because he thought I want to make Maharaj happy… I should do in which he is getting happy… • P. Swamishri work hard to incarnate Maharaj’s sankalps and do planning for months. Then he goes to P. P. Bapji, even he put 100 suggestions in front of P. P. Bapji and P. P. Bapji reject them all still he doesn’t ever have sankalp that why not? Neither single argument nor any tact or trick. Bhale Dayalu… Immediately he crosses it off. Whatever he is saying or doing is right… Even though we feel it best but still if he says no then cancel… What result do we get if we have nihsanshaypanu in vachan and trust? • Maharaj has asked Sadguru Premanand Swami to sing harmony Bhairav in the noon time when musicians came from Gwaliyar to test Maharaj’s saints, still Sadguru didn’t have sankalp that harmony Bhairav can only been sang in the early morning!!! He didn’t even try 42 • Rajipa no Rajmarg to inform Maharaj about it. He started singing Harmony Bhairav without any sanshay, so that the atmosphere transformed as per the harmony. If we have trust and nihsanshaypanu in Motapurush’s vachan then impossible can become possible. Once Bapashri went to have bath in the river with all saints and devotees. And gave blessing, “Whoever had bath in this river today, Maharaj has freed him from all the sins one did until now. Maharaj made this birth as his last birth and kept him in his Murti.” When the sabha finished and they all were going back, they saw one cow was stuck in the mud. It was not able to come out. By looking at this Bapashri said, “If the person who hasn’t done any sins till now decides then he can take that cow out of the mud…” everyone started thinking… we have done sins knowingly or unknowingly, on smaller or larger scale…at that time Ramkrushnabhai from Mandvi came forward to take that cow out of the mud and he did so. Then Bapashri asked, “Haven’t you done any 43 • Rajipa no Rajmarg sin in your life?” He replied, “Bapa! I have done so many sins in my life but you blessed us a while ago that, whoever had bath in this river today, Maharaj has freed him from all the sins one did until now and I haven’t done any new sin thereafter, so all my sins have been burnt.” This is called Trust and nihsanshaypanu in Motapurush’s vachan….!!! We have been blessed many times in sabha that… “Maharaj has put our soul in his Murti by making it anadimukta…” “Maharaj made us anadimukta.” Still we don’t have trust…! That I am anadimukta, I am not normal human. All the pleasures and comforts of this body is not mine, all the relations of this body is not mine…I am epicure of Murtisukh. We can’t practice it every second… the only reason for this is we don’t have trust in Motapurush’s vachan. We are having deficiency in nihsanshaypanu. If we trust them and believe in his words then our dehbhav can be removed in fraction of seconds. 44 Rajipa no Rajmarg What is the reason behind not having trust and not becoming nihsanshay? • Reason is only one… we always tried to use our intelligence in front of Maharaj and Motapurush. We try to measure him with our intelligence who himself if for over all the intelligence. We haven’t accepted his spiritual greatness from the bottom of our heart, can’t blunt our intelligence and skills in front of Motapurush. How to blunt our intelligence? • We should have a proper understanding… • Even though we have so much intelligence or skills but Motapurush is far above than intelligence and skills. That is prohibited area. We shouldn’t let intelligence enter that area. • We can measure intelligence by kilometres not with ruler or inches. Milk or liquid can be measure by litters not in kilos, where we can measure hard stuff in kilos. In a way 45 • • Rajipa no Rajmarg Motapurush have spiritual greatness. He is having spiritual greatness which can’t be measure by worldly intelligence or practical skills… How can we value them with worldly site where all his acts are divine…! We should always say Bhale Dayalu in front of him…! We should always say him with happiness and with the bottom of the heart that I will do whatever you say. One chintamani (wish- fulfilling gem) = How many Diamonds? (Can’t measure…) So, One Satpurush = How many sadhanik saints - devotees? It’s impossible to measure it. One is the personality of spiritual greatness given by Maharaj and the other is worldly higher personality…Can’t even compare. Satpurush, who is always having divine site, always in parbhav, whose entire acts are been done by Maharaj. His all acts always have deep 46 Rajipa no Rajmarg meaning behind it so we don’t have any right to do any sankalp. • Even if a student want to get knowledge from a teacher then he has to put trust on the teacher, where we want brahmavidya aka murtividya from experienced Satpurush then we have to have trust in him. Neither says below in front of Motapurush… Nor think about it… • Why did he do like this? It shouldn’t be like this!!! • Practically this is impossible!!! Let’s learn one art… • Whenever we go to Motapurush, or listen to his sabha, or even when he gives any order we should only give one answer – “Bhale Dayalu ! it would be as you say…” We should blunt our intelligence and think that it is whatever he is saying and accept it from the bottom of the heart. … Just think who is saying it? I want to fulfil his sankalp, why not? We should pray 47 Rajipa no Rajmarg Dayalu, be with me and start our full efforts… Surely Maharaj be with us and make us fulfil his sankalp. • We shouldn’t keep our resolution in front of Motapurush… Shouldn’t ever think that I can do this much and can’t do this much; just think… who is saying it ? We should always say Bhale Dayalu even if it is order of sewa or related to practice something in life… just… “Bhale Dayalu! It would be as you say…” • Whoever has trust and nihsanshaypana in Motapurush’s Vachan, Motapurush fals nidhadakpanu towards him. What does it mean by giving nidhadakpanu to Motapurush? • Nidhadakpanu means Motapurush can say anything, anywhere, between any one any way or anything to us without any hesitation. Incident : • Shivlal Sheth was wealthy and happy devotee. Was coming in sabha very regularly. Once he 48 Rajipa no Rajmarg went to do some business and he wanted to give profit money in sewa to the temple. Still as he was late to come in the sabha, Sadguru Gunatitanand Swami scold him without any hesitation… and even Shivlal Sheth confessed his mistake as simply too. That’s why swami was able to scold him without any hesitation. • Saints used to scold Damodarbhai from Ahmedabad without his faults. Still he didn’t have any sankalp regarding that. He used to say … Bhale Dayalu! Raji Rahejo. Shriji Maharaj himself told Damodarbhai, “Saints are scolding you without your faults, why aren’t you saying anything? At least say that it’s not your fault.” Damodarbhai Replied, “Dayalu, Maharaj ! What are you saying ? Saints don’t scold me without my faults. If I haven’t done anything in this birth then must have done in last birth. In which situation do we do sankalp in Motapurush? What should we do in such 1. When Motapurush asks us to leave things or habits we are agreeable to… 49 • • • Rajipa no Rajmarg Let’s think... If I will do as per my mind says I will be happy for little while and it will be feelings of happiness but it won’t be real happiness. There is always pain hiding behind it. Our mind made us take infinite births. Still if we listen to our brain then it will do even more…That’s why I want to leave whatever my mind says and want to do as per Motapurush says… Incident : Mulji Sheth from Memka had too much affection in his village. Maharaj decided to relieve his devotee from all affections and to make him affected to Murtisukh only. Therefore Maharaj ordered him to leave his village in 20 days. Even if it was his native place and he had well settled business, he only thought that who is giving this order? By looking at that Mulji Sheth left his village in 18 days. On the 21st day robbers came to rob his house and 50 Rajipa no Rajmarg found it empty so they returned. • There are too many good intentions behind Maharaj’s one little order. But we do not accept it because of our limited sight…!! • Motapurush is our well-wisher… Motapurush wants to make us happy in aalok and parlok by making us leave whatever our mind says. 2. Whenever we have been ordered to do more sewa of Tan or Dhan then our capacity or our expectation… • Let’s think... Every act of Motapurush is intentional. He wants to free me from all my sins by showing me more sewa. His only desire is to purify my antahkaran. His desire to pure our money or make us wealthy in aalok by giving us more sewa of Dhan. Doesn’t matter if don’t find out his desire, we are only intermediates. He is the one doing that sewa, We should only say “Bhale Dayalu !” 51 Rajipa no Rajmarg 3. Whenever Maharaj and Motapurush show differences of avarbhav or unknowingness, dependency, when they don’t follow rituals, when they show discrimination, they show us like they are leaving their body then… • Let’s think... Whatever divine actions we can see is avarbhav. It is test for me that I am not shaking from the certainty of his parbhav. Only think that he is form of parbhav. We shouldn’t be doubtful from that. There isn’t any possibility of sourness in sugar-candy. In a same way there isn’t any possibility of human form in Motapurush. • Incident : • Once one devote took his son to Bapashri to give him name. First three times Bapashri gave girl’s names and forth time he gave boy’s name Jagjivan. Didn’t Bapashri know about boy’s and 52 Rajipa no Rajmarg girl’s names! How can we measure Maharaj and Mota’s divine sight! What can we understand! That boy has to give three more birth of girls after this birth, so Bapashri relived him from those three births by just giving names of girl and made his this birth as his last birth. So even if we understands or not his intentions behind his acts, still we should decide that whatever he does is always benefical to us or for our wellbeing. 4. Whenever motapurush give us blessings and Maharaj doesn’t make that sankalp true… • Let’s think… Whatever Maharaj and Motapurush are doing is always fine. He is not incapable but testing me… as he tested Dadakhachar. Maharaj blessed him twenty one times that his work will be done. Still work hasn’t been done, thus he went to court plenty of times. Still he didn’t 53 5. • 6. • Rajipa no Rajmarg even have single sankalp in his mind. That’s why Maharaj became happy with him. When he makes us follow the rules strictly… Let’s think… As much we have deficiency in following the order of Maharaj that much Maharaj will be angry on us… Maharaj can never be angry on me so he is making me follow the rules. What mercy!!! When he takes us out of our world… Let’s think… His world is my world. I will have to live as per his wish and desire. Whenever Motapurush doesn’t do as per our wish or kill desires created by our mind or he doesn’t do what we like, at that time neither our face expressions should change nor our inner system should be affected. Our divinity should be same towards Motapurush. That is 54 Rajipa no Rajmarg called the acceptance of his spiritual greatness. 7. Motapurush has blessed us that he has kept us and all in Murti still we find faults in others, or see other’s bad habits at that time… • Let’s think… Whatever faults I see in me or others who are under his blessings, are of body. I have no concern with body. It is certain that my soul has been made anadimukta. He is showing me my faults so that I can be selfless. Faults are dead snakes who cannot bite still we feel scary. In a way we should try to remove our faults, pray for it, we should behave selfless in front of Motapurush. And we shouldn’t ever doubt about his blessings. He made us anadimukta as long as concern of prapti. The only thing left is sthithi. We should try to achieve that 55 Rajipa no Rajmarg with our full alertness thus we are anadimukt that is certain. 8. Sometimes when Motapurush scold us or shows that he is upset with us, keep us away, even if when we feel that others are not behaving as per his wish or orders and still he shows that he is happier with them, at that time… • Let’s think… Only one thought that Maharaj is my wellwisher. So even in his displeasure his extreme pleasure is there. Even in his anger his extreme love is there. And when he scolds us there is his best wishes of drag me closer and closer towards him. That is his extreme kindness. He is an ocean of kindness… 56 Rajipa no Rajmarg Sankalp : 2 Let’s develop a habit of Darshan-Seva-Samagam... Let’s develop a habit of Darshan : Earnest desire of Shriji Maharaj himself : • My devotees should go to the temple every day to do darshan. Why is it important to do darshan? 1. We can overcome the obligation we have towards Maharaj : • Even if we drop a pen and someone gives it back to us, we never fail to say thank you. Then Shriji Maharaj has had immense mercy on us! We can never get human life even if we spend billions of rupees on it, intelligence cannot be bought in the market, similarly this invaluable satsang cannot be obtained from the market, this invaluable karan satsang cannot be obtained from the market, this divine satpurush cannot be obtained from the market, it is not possible to understand the supremacy 57 Rajipa no Rajmarg of Lord Swaminarayan, and it is not possible to believe in salvation while still alive. Shriji Maharaj has given us all of this with his mercy… How can we repay this mercy? • We have to go our workplace or our business every day in order to earn our salaries of fivetwenty-fifty thousand. Then of course we have to go for darshan of Shriji Maharaj every day! • We should go to do darshan every day with gratefulness in order to repay the mercy Maharaj has done on us. 2. Our entry can be made in Maharaj’s books… and Maharaj will protect us… • Bhaga Sheth from Botaad had a custom of doing darshan of Maharaj before he went home. Once Bhaga Sheth came to the temple to do darshan and saints asked him to read one Vachanamrut before leaving. When Bhaga Sheth opened the Vachnamrut scripture the Vachanamrut that came up was very long. It took him 2 hours to finish it after which he 58 Rajipa no Rajmarg started walking home. He met his servant on the way. Servant said that, “Sheth it’s good that you didn’t come home early because robbers came home to kill you. They got tired after waiting for 2 hours and left.” See? Since he had a custom of Maharaj’s darshan and he followed saint’s order, Maharaj protected him! 3. Nourishment by sight : • One devotee was blind but when there was so much rush in the temple he was still trying to go closer to Maharaj to do darshan. Another devotee asked him, “Dayalu you can’t see so you won’t be able to do Maharaj’s darshan, then why are you trying to go closer to Maharaj in this rush?” At that time, the blind devotee replied, “Dayalu, I may not be able to do Maharaj’s darshan but I will be in Maharaj’s sight…” 59 • Rajipa no Rajmarg Maharaj and Motapurush are the powerhouse of divinity. We can get power and be nourished by their sight. 4. Can build a close relationship : • When we meet someone every day, we develop a close relationship with him/her and he/she can help us in our time of need. • We have met Maharaj, the king of all universes. By building a close relationship with Maharaj, Maharaj will help us in all our worldly needs as well as to attain our biggest goal in parlok; to enjoy the pleasures of Murti nu sukh. 5. Can relieved of Anxiety, Malady, and Difficulty and live a worry free life : • Maharaj and Motapurush have such extraordinary divinity that if any person comes with an unrest heart he/she can get extreme peace and rest. This world is -full of happiness and sorrow so happiness and sorrow will continuously be in our life. Anxiety, malady 60 Rajipa no Rajmarg and difficulty will continuously be present. In all this trouble, we can feel worry free only by the darshan of Maharaj and Motapurush. How earnest should our desire for Darshan be…?!! • Ambaa Sheth from Gadhaali had custom of not having food or water before doing Maharaj’s darshan. In times when Maharaj goes for vicharan, Maharaj used to give one Murti to Ambaa Sheth so that he can have food and water after doing darshan of the Murti. Once Maharaj went for vicharan without giving a Murti to Ambaa Sheth. Ambaa Sheth went to Gadhada but Maharaj wasn’t there! He went to Saarangpur in search of Maharaj but by then Maharaj had left Saarangpur and reached Loya. When Ambaa Sheth reached Loya Maharaj had left Loya and was on his way to Vadtaal. He went to Vadtaal in his hungry and thirsty state and upon Maharaj’s darshan tears of happiness fell from his eyes. Ambaa Sheth was thirsty of Maharaj’s darshan for four days yet 61 Rajipa no Rajmarg nothing came between him and Maharaj, not even his hunger, thirst or tiredness. What a desire for darshan…! How should we do Aadarsh Darshan ? • Shriji Maharaj himself shows us the method of doing Aadarsh Darshan in Saarangpur’s second Vachanamrut: “When one does darshan of God, he should unite his mind and vision to concentrate on God. At that time if he sees a man or a dog wander in or if any other beast or bird appears and if he breaks his sight from darshan and let his eyes wander all around, then God and Motasants become displeased at seeing such a ruptured vision.…” Let’s put the following into practice in order to do darshan in an Aadarsh manner. 1. We must go to the temple to do darshan at least once a day. 2. When we go to do darshan we should turn off our cell phone in the temple’s premises. 62 Rajipa no Rajmarg 3. We should do darshan with full concentration and shouldn’t look around while doing darshan. 4. When we do darshan we should attach our inclinations (vrutti) with Maharaj. ( Do prayers, sing kirtans of Murti.) 5. After doing darshan we should meditate on that murti in a pratilom way.(Repeat this for 2-3 times.) 6. If possible we should do darshan of at least one aarti; Mangla, Shangar or Sandhya. Because Maharaj is very happy when aarti is being performed. Amongst all, it’s best to do darshan of Mangla aarti. 7. When we do darshan we should understand that Maharaj is present before us and full of divine light. 8. If our house is far away from the temple then we should go to the temple at least once a week to do darshan and also do darshan in the gharmandir every day. 63 Rajipa no Rajmarg 9. Whoever lives in Ahmedabad or nearby should always go to do darshan at the Vasna temple on the day of poonam. 10. For devotees living overseas, if it is not possible to go to a temple to do darshan, they should do darshan on-line on our website. 11. We should have a custom of doing darshan during Dhanurmaas. Let’s develop a habit of seva… Dhan ni seva and Tan ni seva… • • • We can do seva in three ways : (1) With our body (Tan), (2) With our mind (Man), (3) With our wealth (Dhan) It’s easy to do seva with our wealth. Seva with our body is a bit more difficult. And the most difficult is the seva with our mind. Seva with our wealth (Dhan ni seva) : Maharaj has given us our wealth. Dhan ni seva is to use it for Maharaj, saints and devotees by obeying our saint’s wishes and orders. Seva with our body (Tan ni seva) : Tan ni seva is 64 • 1. • • • • • Rajipa no Rajmarg to use the body that Maharaj has given us and do seva by obeying saint’s wishes and orders to make Maharaj and Motapurush raji. Seva with our mind (Man ni seva) : Man ni seva is to do Tan ni seva and Dhan ni seva by giving up our desires and wishes and happily complying with Maharaj’s, Motapurush’s and saint’s wishes. Dhan ni Seva : Why should we do Dhan ni seva ? Dhan ni seva is not because Maharaj or saints don’t have any money. Maharaj has given us our wealth and he is giving us opportunity to do donation with it. We should do seva with the glorification; It’s Maharaj’s extreme mercy on us. The wealth we have is not ours. Everything belongs to Maharaj. We should give 10% of our income to Maharaj to purify the wealth we earn. Incident : When Maharaj was registering everyone’s seva 65 Rajipa no Rajmarg for the construction of Gadhpur mandir, a devotee named Dubli Bhatt approached Maharaj. Dubli Bhatt wore torn clothes, didn’t have shoes to wear, and his turban had lots of patches. He was poor in wealth but was rich with Maharaj’s greatness. He took off his turban and untied 13 knots one by one, taking out one paisa from each knot.. The 13 paisa was his life savings yet he donated it. Maharaj asked him to buy shoes rather than giving it for donation but he gave it for donation. He made Maharaj happy and Maharaj announced his name in sabha. Maharaj didn’t announce the names of the devotees who were doing seva of 200–500 Rupees. Why? Because wealthy devotees kept much of their wealth and donated a portion of it whereas Dubali Bhatt donated all that he had. Maharaj doesn’t have hunger of our money but our affection! • Maharaj once told Saamat Patel to do as much seva as he could. So he sold his house, farms, fields, bullocks, and buffaloes and whatever money he got in return he donated it for seva. 66 Rajipa no Rajmarg He thought that Maharaj has told me to do as much seva as I can! Whatever I do is always less… There is no way I can get this seva..!! He did seva with all these feelings and Maharaj became extremely happy. • There is no way I can get this seva! We have gotten such divine and supreme Maharaj and Motapurush that whatever we do for them in return is never enough. We can do everything for them. If we are full with such greatness of them then we can be worthy of their internal blessings. Why should we give Dharmado? • This order has been given by Shriji Maharaj himself : • We should donate 10% of our legal business, job or farming income to purify our money. If we are not earning enough then we can donate 5%. – Shikshapatri • The kind of money that comes in our house the atmosphere becomes of that kind. 67 • • • • • Rajipa no Rajmarg Daivi Dravya : The money we earn with morality, hard work and without breaking the rules set by Maharaj is called Daivi Dravya. Money we earn in the way mentioned above has Maharaj’s blessings. Thus it brings peace, happiness and good traditions in the family. Aasuri Dravya : The money we earn with immorality, dishonesty, which has been taken away forcibly, has been taken away by hurting someone, rightfully belonged to someone else or was earned by breaking the rules set by Maharaj is called Asuri Dravya. The money which has been earned this way either goes in hospital expenses or in court expenses. This kind of money goes out exactly the same way as it came in the house. It brings pain and sorrow in our family. If immoral money comes in our house, it ruins our family circumstances. We shouldn’t earn immoral money but in this day and age we don’t know which kind of money we are bringing into our home so we can purify it by giving dharmado. 68 • • • 1. 2. 3. Rajipa no Rajmarg It’s fine if we do other seva more or less but we should give the whole 10% of dharmado. The money from the dharmado should not be used to feed saints or give them dhotiya. The money should also not be spent on pilgrimage or for any other seva. – Bapashri ni vato: Part - 1, Varta - 53 Wealthy devotees should donate money for the big festivals and functions of the Swaminarayan sect, build temples, as well as feed the saints and other devotees. – Shikshapatri Let’s put the following into practice to be a part of Maharaj’s sankalp of dhan ni seva… Donate complete dharmado as per our income. All the wealth given by Maharaj belongs to him. So if Maharaj has made us wealthy then we should donate for temple construction, functions or festivals, and do dhan ni seva as per saint’s orders and wishes. After doing dhan ni seva we shouldn’t have an ego that I did the seva. We shouldn’t expect any gift, praise or fame in return. 69 Rajipa no Rajmarg 4. We should always feel that, “It belongs to Maharaj, it is for Maharaj and Maharaj is taking it…” 5. If Motapurush gives us a sankalp of how much dhan ni seva we should do we shouldn’t doubt it or say no. It’s his sankalp and he will fulfill it. We should have that strength. We shouldn’t have weak thoughts or have any sankalp-vikalp regarding it. • Whoever doesn’t ignore Maharaj and Motapurush’s vachan down, Maharaj and Motapurush doesn’t let him down. – P. Swamishri • Even a cheque given by a banker doesn’t bounce back then how can Motapurush’s blessings go in vain!!! 2. Tan ni Seva : • Maharaj becomes happier on the person who does Tan ni seva then one who does Dhan ni seva. Why should we do Tan ni seva? 1. To purify the impure antahkaran, to be free of our mistakes and sins : • Shriji Maharaj himself said in the 25 th Vachnamrut of Gadhada Madhya, “Just like 70 Rajipa no Rajmarg Uka Khachar has the addiction of doing seva of the saints, if one develops an addiction of doing seva of God and his saints and cannot live a moment without it will be purified of the filthy desires he has in his antahkaran.” • Shriji Maharaj told in the 8th Vachnamrut of Gadhada Pratham, “Indriyo ni je kriya chhe tene jo bhagwan ne tena bhakt ni sewa ne vishe rakhe to antahkaran shuddh thay chhe ne anantkal na je pap jiv ne valagya chhe teno nash thai jay chhe.” “If one keeps the indriyo entangled in God’s and his devotee’s seva then his antahkaran is purified and the sins which are attached to the antahkaran are destroyed.” 2. This seva is easy for those who can’t do Dhan ni seva : • Tan ni seva is the biggest opportunity to make Maharaj raji for the people who cannot do dhan ni seva. 3. Can become selfless : • We might develop ego while doing other seva whereas inferior seva like tan ni seva will always make us selfless. 71 • Rajipa no Rajmarg Once Jeeva Khachar gave donation for rasoi. He would walk around amongst the rows of people sitting for the meal and tell them, “Eat properly…” He would even order the people who were serving that, “Serve here… serve this person… come on pick up the dishes…” But he wouldn’t do any seva himself. So Maharaj told him, “Jeeva Khachar, you are ordering people but I am more raji on the people who are bending down to pick up the dishes than the one who gave donation for rasoi. I am happier on the people who do inferior seva like tan ni seva than one who does dhan ni seva. 4. Can do donation of our time : • We can give only dharmado of money by doing dhan ni seva whereas we can give dharmado of the time Maharaj has given us by doing tan ni seva. 5. Can get internal rajipo : • We can get internal rajipo if we do tan ni seva with divinity and without any expectation of 72 Rajipa no Rajmarg gaining something in return, only with the intention to make Maharaj raji. • P. Swamishri always expresses his internal rajipo that, “Whenever I see a broom or a mop in anyone’s hand it makes me really happy and I feel like hugging him and blessing him from the bottom of my heart.” • On the instruction of Maharaj, Uka Khachar became addicted to seva…. He bared the harsh sentences said by a new comer named Gajubha. Since he did seva with divyabhaav, Maharaj became very pleased on him, gave him blessings and made him nirvaasnik (desire free)…. How Maharaj and Motapurush did seva : • When Shriji Maharaj was in Loj Aashram as Nilkanthvarni, he himself collected wooden sticks and cow poo for fuel, washed utensils, and cooked foods….. Maharaj did these sevas to teach us. • When the temple of Gadhada was being con- 73 Rajipa no Rajmarg structed, Shriji Maharaj himself used to carry stone from the Ghela River on his golden Paagh and put it in the base of the temple. • Despite being the Guru of 400 saints at the Junagadh temple, Reverend Gunatitanand Swami used to sweep the entire premises of the temple. • P.P. Bapji is a Guru of thousands of saints and devotees but before his bypass surgery, on poonam samaiyo days he would go to the kitchen early and start cutting vegetables, he would will pick up grit on construction sites and would do storeroom seva as well. • Our beloved P. Swamishri cleans the bathroom of his aasan (room in which he lives) himself. Let’s learn this to earn internal blessings by doing seva….. • When karan satsang is spreading to all the corners of the world and when we have gotten the opportunity to de seva as its base then we should perform our seva with dedication and 74 Rajipa no Rajmarg fulfill our duty. • Maharaj, Motapurush, saints-devotees, and this organization are mine. I am the trustee of it. – Lets do seva with this in mind. • How can I be eligible for this seva ? — With this in mind, do any inferior seva with daasbhav and mahima. • I must scarify my own wish, I just want to make Maharaj raji – with this thought in mind we should do seva without expectation of praise or respect. • Perform seva with enthusiasm, and without boredom and arguments. • While doing seva we should not talk about fellow devotees in a bad way. Moreover, if we do seva with divyadrashti, we get internal blessings from Maharaj and Motapurush. Let’s put the following into practice to be a part of Maharaj’s sankalp of Tan ni seva… 1. Do any tan ni seva at least once a day. 75 Rajipa no Rajmarg 2. Prefer doing an inferior seva. 3. On special occasions like utsav sabha or samaiyo we must do seva such as cleaning utensils, cleaning and tidying or any other seva which we can do physically. 4. At weekly sabha, does cleaning seva like doing vacuum, sweeping, cleaning furniture etc? 5. We sould divide the cleaning seva of our temple amongst devotees in order to keep our entire temple neat and clean. 6. We should be eager to do tan ni seva ourselves rather than assigning to others. 7. We should allocate at least 20 to 30 minutes in a day for physical seva in the temple. 8. Never do arguments in seva and do seva with enthusiasm. 9. While doing seva never be stubborn or selfish. 10. Do seva with mahima. 11. Distributing invitation cards or performing sanchalak duty in satsang sabha counts as 76 Rajipa no Rajmarg physical and mental seva so one should do these sevas. Let’s Cultivate the habit of Samaagam : • • 24th Vachnamrut of Gadhada Chhella : “What are the means of achieving great virtues for a salvation seeker? The greater the desire one has in listening to godly discourses, he has that much apathy towards this world and vices like lust, anger, and greed are destroyed. If one is lethargic towards godly discourses then we Should believe that he will not attain great virtues. There are nine types of devotion described in the scriptures but devotion of listening is the best of all. Therefore, if one develops the devotion of listening then he will attain all the other devotions. “ 12th Vachnamrut of Karyaani : “However lusty, angry, greedy or loose a soul may be, if he listens to the divine discourses with faith and affection then all his vices will be destroyed. At first, a man might have enough strength to chew raw chick peas, but when he eats a lot of raw mangoes, he is not even able to chew 77 • Rajipa no Rajmarg cooked rice. Similarly, however much he is engrossed in lust etc., if he listens to these divine discourses faithfully and enthusiastically, he will not be able to enjoy the happiness of worldly objects. He may dry up his body by hard penance but his mind does not become non-vicious like that of a person who listens to these discourses. The minds of all of you would not become thoughtless by meditation or turning the rosary as they must have by listening to these discourses right now. There is no other remedy of pacifying the mind or making it non-vicious than hearing the discourses of the Supreme Lord with faith and affection.” 29th Vachnamrut of Gadhada madhya : “The characteristic of a devotee whose mind is attracted towards God is like this: He might be very tired of walking and not able to stand any second longer. At that moment if he hears the divine discourses of God, he feels as if he has not even walked a kilometer and becomes ready to eagerly do or listen to the divine discourses. In another case, he might be suffer- 78 Rajipa no Rajmarg ing from a disease or is insulted by someone. In the meantime if he hears the divine discourses of God he feels relieved of all pains and suffering. Lastly, he may seem to have been entangled in the wealth and riches that he has obtained. But when he listens to the divine discourses he feels as if he had not come into contact of it at all. He becomes that much attentive to listen to the divine discourses. Thus, it can be said that one has attraction towards God if he has the qualities described above. Why should we do samaagam? 1. To stay strong in satsang : • If a plant gets water daily, it stays green. Similarly, if our soul gets water in form of samaagam, we can stay strong in satsang. 2. To stay firm in happiness or sorrow : • Satsang implants understanding so that we can stay firm in life in happiness or sorrow. With such understanding we do not become over-joyous in happiness or dejected or despondent in sorrow. 79 Rajipa no Rajmarg 3. To strengthen our understanding : • Our understanding of the true form or character of Maharaj, Motapurush, saints-devotees and we strengthens only by samaagam. This way we can stay happier in satsang. 4. To keep doing our seva and to learn the method of rajipo : • By samaagam, our focus stays on rajipo while doing seva so that we can do our seva without any hurdles. 5. To be rid of our mistakes : • Samaagam is like a mirror. We can see our mistakes by samaagam which we cannot see on our own. We can also learn how to remove them by samaagam. That’s why samaagam is a must. Maharaj’s earnest desire for samaagam: • If we take a look at the Vachnamrut we can see that Shriji Maharaj has given laabh to his saints and devotees sometimes at midnight, sometimes early in the morning, sometimes while having lunch or dinner and sometimes even 80 Rajipa no Rajmarg awakening them while they are asleep to give laabh. Motapurush’s earnest desire of samaagam: • Once a devotee put a bag filled with 500 rupee coins in the temple and left. Reverend Gunatitanand Swami immediately said that rather than doing 500 rupees donation, if he had purchased food from that money and done samaagam by staying in the temple, then his filthy desires would have been removed. Earnest desire of samaagam held by renounced devotees who earned rajipo : • Once there was a samaiyo in Gadhada. Macha Khachar had crop ready in his field. When he asked his nephew to look after his crop, his nephew refused and said that he wants to come to Gadhada as well. Now even if he starts to harvest his crop right away he wouldn’t be able to finish by the time the samaiyo started so he asked the shepherds of his village to graze their cattle in his field. He ruined his crop which he cultivated with such labor and difficulties just for samaagam. What an ear- 81 Rajipa no Rajmarg nest desire for samaagam…..!!! • Reverend Gunatitanand Swami used to say, “If you have to leave the profit of millions then do so but don’t leave a small chance of samaagam.” • There are many who listen to holy teachings, very few who reflect on it and rarely someone puts them into practice. Those rare people become eligible to inherit the divinity from Motapurush. • To listen to religious teachings is important but to do that in an ideal and perfect manner is even more important. How to listen to katha in an ideal manner? 1. Maharaj is talking : Anyone can be giving the discourses of God but we should imagine that Maharaj himself is speaking. We shouldn’t think that some human is speaking. 2. It’s only for me : Whatever is being delivered, I need it and that’s why Maharaj is delivering. 3. I don’t know anything : We should always 82 4. 5. 6. • Rajipa no Rajmarg listen without thinking ‘I know this.’ Leave such thoughts, be egoless and listen. Listen with focus and concentration : Do not talk in sabha or look around uselessly. Listen with focus and concentration. Write down the moral of the teachings while listening. After listening, ponder on what you have listened to and written down. How to reflect on what we have listened ? After listening to any sabha, think about the intention of Maharaj and Motapurush or the essence of the teachings. First ask youself the following question : What is Maharaj and Motapurush’s intention for me in their teaching? Then ask the second question : In that regard, what’s in my life ? What am I doing ? Then ask the third question: What do I have to do now ? The answer to these questions becomes a reflection on what we have listened. Practicing to answer the above questions including ‘What do I have to do now ?’ make the wishes of Maharaj and Motapurush a part of 83 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. Rajipa no Rajmarg our life. Putting essence of the teachings into practice is the best outcome of any teaching. Let’s put the following into practice in order to be a part of Maharaj’s sankalp of Samaagam : Always attend morning sabha, whenever possible. Must attend weekly sabha. Must attend poonam or monthly samaiyo sabha. We must attend the sabha of P. P. Bapji and P. Swamishri whenever they come to our center. At the time of sabha do not do any seva. Adjust the seva timings accordingly. Must sit in sabha with a pen and something to write on. Listen to sabha with full concentration, write the essence of the teachings and then reflect on them. Listen to the CDs/DVDs of Katha (while travelling in car, cooking in kitchen or doing any seva….) Making a habit of putting into practice whatever we have reflected upon after listening. 84 • • • Rajipa no Rajmarg Wherever we are lacking or have laziness in terms of Darshan, Seva and Samaagam, we should remove it and live in rajipo then only we can say we have become a part of Maharaj and Motapurush’s sankalp of leading us towards Murti sukh…. A true follower is one who never lets a single command coming from Maharaj and Motapurush fall to the ground. Let’s take Maharaj and Motapurush’s sankalps in our hands, make them ours, put them into practice and give them a sign of relief…. Because their sign of relief will only occur with our thirst for Murtisukh… • At the end, we pray to Maharaj and Motapurush that do mercy that your sankalps become our life and shower your blessings so that we can experience Murti sukh as early as possible.
