If your child is attending a club meeting, they should arrive no earlier then 7:55. Supervision is not available prior to this time. When dropping your child off in the morning, you may enter the east parking lot and circle around to the sidewalk. Students are not to be dropped off at the doors by the flag pole. This area is reserved for our daycare vans and handicapped parking only. Please send in a note with your child if you plan to pick him/her up from school. Your note should include your child’s name, room number, when your child is leaving, and who is picking him/her up. A student leaving early for a doctor, dental appointment, etc. must be signed out by their parent in the office. In order for your son/daughter to receive the maximum class time, your child will not be called down to the office until you have arrived to pick him/her up. Students need to bring a school excuse back from their appointment on their return to school. Parents who are picking their children up at dismissal should park in the east parking lot and proceed to the cafeteria. Once your child has entered the cafeteria, you must sign him/her out with the staff member on duty. If you need to pick your child up at the end of the day, but didn’t send in a note, please notify the school office by calling 881-5653 by 3:15 p.m. Please do not e-mail the teacher or office staff with this information. It is unreliable to assume your child’s teacher or office staff will get the information prior to dismissal especially in the event your child’s teacher has a substitute. If the office does not receive a note or phone call from a parent stating a change in transportation, we will have your child follow their normal routine home. The end of the day is a very busy time in the office and the classroom. Advanced noticed allows time for the students to gather all of their materials as well as a smoother, and safer departure time. We respectfully ask that all parents follow the policies and procedures we have put into place to help ensure the safety and well being of your children.
