New Aqua-phonics Equipment Arrives
Due to a generous donation from a parent, ICA
installed an aqua-phonics system in the greenhouse.
The environmental science students as well as
other science disciplines will be studying the growth of
vegetables and fish utilizing both aquaculture and
hydroponics.
ICA Men’s Volleyball Team Takes 1st Place
In the TISSA Spring Tournament, ICA’s Men’s
Varsity Volleyball Team took first place beating
Morrison Academy Taichung in three close sets 2-1.
The third set was won by ICA, 15-13.
Women’s Soccer Team Places 2nd
Also, in the Tissa Spring, Tournament, ICA’s
Women’s Soccer Team took second place. In four
games, ICA’s women did not allow a goal.
However, due to two tie games: ICA 0, MAT 0, and
ICA 0, TES 0. ICA’s women placed 2nd. ICA’s goalie,
Mimi Chang ‘18 had 42 saves.
Track Results
The Track Team traveled to Suzhou to
participate in the Annual ACAMAS Track and Field
Meet. Sean Hu ‘15 won 1st place in the 200m run
and 3rd place in the 100m run. Ryusuke
Kobayashi ‘16 won the 800m run and placed 2nd
in the 1500m and 3000m races.

STUGO Sponsors Earth Day
On Sunday, April 26, 2015, ICA’s student
government sponsored earth day activities.
Activities included: designing/making a dress out
of paper and cardboard, using plastic bottles to
create a sculpture, poster making and producing
a film on saving the earth.
Math Wars
Once again, the Math Department
sponsored Math Wars. Each house competed in a
variety of math related projects such as
construction catapults, challenging math
problems, logic-aerobics cubes, visual-graphic art
design origami, math
Mr. John D. Franklin’s Memorial Concert
The entire Ivy Collegiate Academy family,
students, parents and alumni are invited to the
John D. Franklin Memorial Concert to be held at
ICA auditorium on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 2
pm.
