P & C SCHOOL FUN RUN - THIS FRIDAY 11TH SEPTEMBER!
All children will be participating in the fun run. Children are to wear their running gear, bring a water bottle
and also their asthma puffer if asthmatic.
The fun run will last for 40 minutes for Years 3,4,5 and 6 and commence at noon. Kindy to Year 2 will
commence at 12.45 and run/walk for 20 minutes.
It would be appreciated if sponsorship forms, along with money, if not done online, could be to the school
office by tomorrow afternoon. Make sure a prize is selected on the sponsorship form equivalent to the
amount raised. You only have to raise just $10.00 to win a prize and prizes will also be given to the highest
fundraisers from each class.
The P&C will be providing a special healthy canteen lunch on the day. A pink order form was sent out last
week and this needs to be in by tomorrow afternoon. If you do not have one it can be printed from the
school app if you have downloaded it. There will be a free iceblock for every student who finishes the run.
Everyone is welcome to join in the fun! Parents and family members are invited to come along and cheer
on the students during the fun run which will now be held in the school grounds, not McPherson Oval due
to the wet conditions. A coffee van for parents will be attending so you can enjoy the day!
Have fun, run, run, run and keep smiling!!
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Our Stage 2 boys T-ball team will play tomorrow in the Wagga T-Ball Gala Day at French’s Fields. We wish them all the
best and know they will play with that typical North Wagga spirit and determination. Mrs Standley will accompany the
team.
We are all looking forward to the P&C Fun Run which will be held this Friday 11 September. Children will be able to run
or walk a set course for a set time with the emphasis being on participation and of course, fun! The children will enjoy an
out of uniform day and are encouraged to wear sporty or exercise clothes. Parents are encouraged to attend and watch
the children complete their activities and then stay for lunch. A special canteen menu has been sent home for pre
ordered lunches and healthier choice recess items will be available to purchase on the day. I know the children are busy
sourcing sponsors which will help the P&C raise money for a larger school sports shed. The P&C Fun Run will commence
at 12.00pm at school on the oval.
We have an exciting performance for Kindergarten coming up on 16 September. They will have the pleasure of
travelling to the Civic Theatre and seeing the live stage show ‘Cranky Bear’, adapted from the popular children’s book.
The show has had great reviews and has been booked out at many venues.
A reminder that Tell Them From Me (TTFM) Partners in Learning survey designed for parents and carers, is now open.
The survey asks parents and carers questions about different factors that are known to impact on student wellbeing and
engagement.

Year 4 to 6 students will also participate in theTell Them From Me student feedback survey at school. The survey aims to
help improve student learning outcomes and measures factors that are known to affect academic achievement and
other student outcomes. The focus of the NSW-wide survey is on student wellbeing, engagement and effective teaching
practices. The students will complete the survey online over the next two weeks.
To clarify what is happening at the beginning of next Term with my recent promotion to Macksville Public School; I will
remain at North Wagga Public school until I take up the appointment on 2nd November and then Miss Woodside will
take over as Relieving Principal. In the meantime Miss Woodside will be coming off class at the beginning of next Term
so there can be a transition period before I leave. Once the picture of who fills my position permanently becomes a little
clearer Miss Woodside and I will send home further information to parents and particularly those of KW, however, rest
assured that the school and KW will be left in good hands.
