In other words, through the people of Israel, the Savior shall come to all people who seek God with a sincere heart. This brings joy and the radiance of God’s glory to all the world and to all people everywhere. Through the fidelity of the people of God, and through God’s fidelity to them, all people shall become God’s children and rejoice in the fulfillment of God’s promise to Israel. Copyright © J. S. EASTERN STAR Fair eastern star, that art ordain’d to run Before the sages, to the rising Sun, Here cease thy course, and wonder that the cloud Of this poor stable can thy Maker shroud. —Sir John Beaumont January 8, 2012 CATHOLIC CHARITIES 13th VENETIAN BALL March 3, 2012 You may not know that Catholic Charities is a Charity Navigator Four Star Charity which is given this status to very few charity organizations in the country. You may already know, however, that Catholic Charities, District II, (our area) serves literally thousands of adults and children every year regardless of creed, color or place of origin. The need is dire. There are many sad days when needy people have to be turned away because the resources are just not there. The Venetian Charity Ball is the main resource that Catholic Charities, District II depends on. Last year the Ball netted more than $104,000, all of which stayed right here in our area. We dearly thank all those who attended and participated in any way. You are an integral part of the Ball’s success for Catholic Charities. We invite you to take yourself to Venice for a memorable evening. Enjoy the colors of sunset, the music of the heart, the flavors of Venice and original art for the soul. This year’s theme is Venetian Cafés. You and guests could be chosen to dine at the special Café’ Imagina table. More info will follow in future bulletins. So, join us at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Bonita Springs with special guests Bishop Frank J. Dewane, Lois Thome of WINK News and other Ft. Myers personalities. For more information or an invitation to the Ball Please call Patty Maurillo , Event Chairlady, at 239-267-7972 or visit us at venetianball2012@aol.com Respect Life Catholic Days at the Capitol - Join a 3 day bus trip to Tallahassee, February 7-9 to see state legislators about important proposed legislation on human trafficking, respect life, health and education.
