Since 1964 Merlo’s history has been one of ideas, tenacity, and passion. Together these characteristics form the cornerstone of an industrial group that has developed a highly successful range of products, which have been awarded numerous international prizes. The development of complex projects, from initial idea to end product and design to sales, requires the ability to innovate and anticipate the needs and future trends of an increasingly competitive market. In pursuit of more ambitious goals, Merlo technology has become the driving force behind a development program that is able to look beyond the conventional. Safety, comfort and performance are the key concepts. The result is that every machine we build is a record beater, in terms of design, power, environmental safety, and customer satisfaction. This winning attitude is demonstrated by our integrated production process, modern construction methods, process automation, revolutionary integrated electronic systems, robotic machining systems and in many other ways. The will to maintain closer links with our customers is reflected in our ongoing programs of personnel training and refresher courses, in the quality of our service network, and in the relationships of mutual trust we have built with our dealers. The result is a range of compact and maneuverable machines that offer unparalleled comfort, efficiency and, above all, safety. This is the strength of the Merlo Group. • > 500 Million USD turnover (90% to export) • 1,200 Employees • > 8% of turnover invested in Research and Development • 37 million scf of welding gas per year • > 60,000 ton of steel per year • > 90% in-house manufacturing • 42 robots • 18 machining centers • 8 automated cutting units • 4 hi-tech paint lines ROTO 45.21 MCSS MERLO IN THE USA 4|5 Merlo products available for the US market MERLO IN THE USA A wide range to fit all customer needs Merlo machines are now available in the United States, by Applied Machinery Sales (AMS) based in Pineville NC. Since then, the Panoramic models are among the best selling products of the Merlo Group. One of the most popular Panoramic w/o stabilizers is the P34.10EE. It can be used in confined spaces, thanks to its compactness and its three-mode steering system which increases maneuverability and versatility. The engine and hydrostatic transmission are electronically controlled for better performance. The transmission is also equipped with a two-speed mechanical gearbox designed to suit speed from zero to 25 MPH (15MPH for the P34.10EE). Its low center of gravity and correct weight distribution allow excellent stability and the permanent 4WD system allows for the best traction. Comfort is assured by a cab designed and manufactured by Merlo. The internal cab width of 3’-3” is the best in its class. The driving position and controls have been designed according to the latest ergonomic standards to ensure the maximum comfort. 1,300 lb W/O STABILIZERS EE 1,300 lb PANORAMIC Panoramic w/o stabilizers EE 0 0 P 38.13 MODEL Width Height Length P38.13 EE 7’ - 3’’’ 8’ -0’’ 17’ - 2’’ P40.17 EE 7’ - 9’’ 8’ -3’’ 19’ - 0’’ PANORAMIC WITH STABILIZERS EE 10 | 11 P38.13 [ft] 52 48 40° 40 36 32 36 32 0 0 40° 30° 10 20 5 16 5 20° 12 10° 8 4 0 00 8,3 24 in [ft] 36 32 28 24 20 16 12 [m] 10 48 40 32 20 16 12 8 4 20° 10° 8,800 lb 24 in 0° 0 0 [ft] 48 44 40 36 32 28 24 20 16 12 [m] 15 I H G 5,500 lb F E D C 6,600 lb B A 30° 28 5 L 40° 36 24 0 4 0 50° 44 10 8 5 P 40.17 EE WITH FORKS ON STABILIZERS 70° 60° M [ft] 56 52 15 4 24 in G F E D C B 0 A l0b 0° 0 [m] 8 44 40 36 32 28 24 20 16 12 [m] 15 2,200 lb 48 24 50° 0° -4 28 [ft] 70° 60° 6,600 lb 7,700 lb 4 10 D 8,8 00 lb 10° 8 1,600 lb 12 40 1,100 lb 44 16 3,300 lb 4,400 lb a truly vertical lift for better stability. When traditional handling methods cannot get the job done, it’s time for a new idea: Roto – a telescopic handler with the added dimension of a slewing turret. Safety, efficiency and manoeuvrability are the key features of this revolutionary concept, the fruit of Merlo’s research and experience since 1990. Roto embodies a new concept of strength in action, successful even in the most challenging handling and lifting operations, thanks to their tremendous off-highway performance. Imagine a family of machines, combining all the benefits of a telescopic handler plus a lightweight lifting capability and the ability to safely place personnel into position at height.
