When their son, Bud, came home from WWII, he and his mother opened a storefront shop and soda fountain. In 1967, Bud and his wife, Dorothy, closed the fountain and moved the candy business to a renovated circa 1840 farmhouse, adding on to the building twice. In 2004 Bud’s son, Mike, and his wife, Kathy, moved the business into a newly built 10,500 square foot facility which was expanded in 2011. Attendees will view the facility in full production, including a rare Peppy Dipper one person coater in operation. 5:30pm* Buses Return to Hotel Fowler’s Chocolate Co., Inc. – Fowler’s Chocolate’s story began in 1901 with Joseph A. Joseph passed away in 1944, yet succeeding generations continued the chocolate business. Joseph’s sons, Joseph C. and Ray, were responsible for the success and growth of the company throughout the ‘50s and early ‘60s. In 1961, Joseph C. Fowler’s son, Roy, joined the corporation, and in 1968, Fowler’s Chocolate moved its operations to a 10,000 square foot building. In 1993, the company was purchased by Buffalo residents.
