“The education of my daughters is my priority. Before I heard about
Shivia’s poultry farming scheme my income was so variable that my
daughters Laboni and Sraboni were unable to regularly attend school. I
couldn’t afford the bus fare or a second pair of shoes for my children so
travelling during the monsoon was difficult.
I can now earn money either by selling the eggs or my hens, and my
income stream has been much steadier.
My daughters are now attending school daily and I have been able to
afford extra tuition so they can catch up on the lessons they missed.”
