FIRST AID MEASURES INHALATION: SKIN CONTACT: EYE CONTACT: Move casualty to well ventilated area and seek medical advice Wash off any material with warm soapy water. Wash out thoroughly with clean water or saline solution for 15 minutes and seek medical advice. INGESTION: Do not induce vomiting, drink plenty of water and seek medical advice. 05. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURE Material is non hazardous and in aqueous form is non-flammable, no flash point, no upper or lower explosion point, no ignition temperature, no hazardous combustion products, no special fire fighting procedures, no unusual fire or explosion properties or risks, and may be safely washed/poured down drains. Use fire fighting measures suitable for surrounding environment. 06. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES Steps to be taken in Case Material is Released or Spilled: Clean up using absorbent materials, dispose of waste materials in waste receptacles/trash cans, rinse surfaces thoroughly and apply local safety spill measures as required may be safely washed or poured down drains. Aquatic Toxicity: Material is slightly alkaline and could affect the pH of receiving water. Waste Disposal: Dispose in accordance with Local Regulations. 07. HANDLING AND STORAGE HANDLING Wear suitable goggles, gloves and protective clothing when handling actual product. STORAGE Containers should be kept tightly closed when not in use. Store in dry cool conditions away from strong oxidizers and acids. Use in rotation. Protect from freezing at all times. 08. EXPOSURE CONTROLS AND PERSONAL PROTECTION SPECIFIC PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) SKIN PROTECTION Wear impermeable plastic or rubber gloves and suitable work clothes. Wash off splashes to skin immediately. EYE PROTECTION Wear goggles or safety glasses with side shields. Keep eye wash facilities close at hand. RESPIRATORY PROTECTION Exposure to airborne concentrations would be unlikely as supplied and when used as intended with adequate ventilation. GASTROINTESTINAL EFFECTS Could cause Diarrhoea and other stomach and intestinal irritations, therefore ingestion should be avoided. 12. ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION Components of the preparation are not classed as a hazardous waste in their respective solutions. This material is soluble in water; contamination of watercourses should be avoided where possible as it is alkaline and could affect the pH of receiving water if disposed of in large quantities. 13. DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS Components of the preparation are not classed as a hazardous waste in their respective solutions. Dispose via a licensed waste disposal contractor according to local regulations. Before disposal customers are advised to evaluate any changes that may have occurred to the material. 14.
