Plane crash on NE Waldo Rd

A single engine plane was attempting an emergency landing on NE Waldo Road
today just before noon when it struck a tree in the median. The pilot was able to
avoid any motorist or pedestrians in the area. Both the pilot and passenger of the
plane were transported to an area hospital for treatment and we're considered
stable. Waldo Road will be blocked off from 16th Ave to 23rd Ave until the
investigators can have the plane removed. For more information please call:
