Tanner clinic is composed of several primary care and specialty care physicians. It has an atmosphere of caring with a tradition of keeping you at your best. Our mission is to provide the greatest quality of medical care in a compassionate, courteous, and respectful manner. Tanner also offers laboratory and radiology services including MRI and CT. Mon-Fri. 9 am-9 pm Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Medical Assistants Dr. Brent Eberhard has been a pediatrician at the Layton Tanner Clinic since 2004. He is native to Davis County, graduating from Davis High School in 1990. He then received his Bachelors of Science in Chemistry from Weber State University in 1996, Doctorate of Medicine from George Washington Medical School in 2001, and Board Certification after completion of a 3 year pediatric residency at Columbus Childrens Hospital in 2004. He is a dedicated and compassionate individual who works hard for the well being of his patients. Kaysville 380 N. 400 W. Mon-Fri. 9 am-8 pm Saturday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Appointments The appointment department can by reached by calling Tanner Clinic’s main number (801) 773-4840. The receptionist can transfer you to appointments; or you may call appointments directly at (801) 773-4865. Dr. Eberhard has some slots each day reserved for follow up, well child care, physicals, consultations, and other routine visits. Other slots are reserved for children who are sick, injured, or have urgent concerns. You can call appointments starting at 7 am each morning. In addition, Dr. Eberhard’s medical assistants at ext 3248 can help with appointment scheduling especially if the schedule is full. Longer visits are needed if: you are a new patient to Dr. Eberhard, there are several complex medical conditions, or a new behavioral consultation. Dr Eberhard will see up to 3 siblings at a time. In the office there are three medical assistants that staff the office. Medical assistants work closely with Dr Eberhard to collect vitals, obtain medical information, administer immunizations, collect laboratory specimens, provide phone triage, give medical advice, and provide medication refills and prescriptions. They work hard to assure your child receives the best care available and your visit is pleasant and productive. Working closely with Dr Eberhard, they are able to answer most questions and help with many common pediatric ailments. Q A Tanner Clinic locations in Layton, Syracuse and Kaysville offer after hours care. How important are routine health exams to my baby’s health? Q A Routine health exams are crucial. The recommended schedule is in the table on the right. Is there always a pediatrician on duty at Tanner Clinic? Tanner Clinic has a pediatrician on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If you have further questions call (801) 773-4840 Ext. 3248 Urgent Care Dr. Eberhard takes care of urgent concerns during business hours. In addition, the family practice physicians run an urgent care at the Layton, Syracuse, and Kaysville clinics. The Layton Clinic will take urgent care patients during the day and then from 5 to 9 pm each evening Monday through Friday. They are also open on Saturdays 9am to 5pm. be seen “2,2,2.” 2 days after discharge, 2 weeks of age, then 2 months of age. Then 4, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, and 24 months of age. The 6 and the 18 month check ups need to be scheduled at least 6 months after the first Hep B and Hep A respectively. The AAP recommendation is to then do annual check ups near the child’s birthday. Urgent Phone Calls Dr. Eberhard or one of his partners will handle urgent phone calls during the day. The urgent care staff will handle the call during urgent care hours (5pm – 9pm). When the clinic is closed the on-call pediatrician may be reached by calling the answering service at (801) 279-5577.
