OMNI-WiFi Recent Installation – Bayley`s Camping Resort
OMNI-WiFi Recent Installation – Bayley’s Camping Resort, Scarborough, Maine Bayley’s Camping Resort (BCR), one of New England’s largest campgrounds located by the ocean in Scarborough, Maine, now has wonderful Wi-Fi provided through a series OMNI-WiFi Park/CampSpots™ http://www.bayleys-camping.com The four (4) Park/CampSpots™ and one repeater system provide wireless Internet service to 700 camping and RV spaces at the highest speeds possible. Over 100 campers can get online concurrently at each Park/CampSpot™. Several broadband routers provide a total downstream bandwidth of 33 mbs, making 500+ concurrent wireless sessions possible to the campers and RVs. Installer Eric Currier of Network Management Services in South Portland removed 19 older access points when he discovered that just one OMNI-WiFi Park/CampSpot performed better than all 19 of the others put together. It took Eric several weeks to tune the large system. Tuning large systems is most easily done when using the special OMNI-WiFi broadband routers, which Eric installed at each Park/CampSpot™location. The special routers are programmed to sense when they are online and will automatically reboot if ever they go offline for any reason, providing a degree of proactive maintenance. The tuning details of large systems like this one are available to resellers at OMNI-WiFi training sessions, held monthly in Dover, NH (please see list of Authorized Resellers). Each Park/CampSpot™ and each router is connected electrically to a robust battery-backup UPS to provide steady state electricity to the system and to prevent electrical surges from damaging the equipment. The next OMNI-WiFi training session will be held on September 24th, 2009 at the Microtel Inn & Suites, Dover, NH. For more information or to sign up for training, review Training Description.
