ÉDITORIAL
Dear friends,
What a good resolution to start learning the French language in 2016! Come and visit the
Institut Français in Abuja and discover our various courses developed for adults, teens and
children with a personal or professional goal.
Moreover, our cultural program will give you many opportunities to get familiar with the
French language and culture: the 4th French Education Fair late February, the Francophonie
Festival in March, followed by “Good France”, an event showcasing the excellence of French
cuisine, etc. Our Wednesday French Movie programme is also continuing and will soon
offer a “carte blanche” to partners.
To implement those cultural, linguistic and educational policies, Léa Granados, Anastasia
Kratchkovsky and Saranne Comel have joined the Abuja team early this year.
On the national scene, note that the French language and culture are also well represented
by an extensive network of 10 Alliances Françaises throughout Nigeria and a French Institute
of Research in Africa hosted by the Institute for African Studies at Ibadan University.
So wherever you are in Nigeria, the French cultural network is never far away... We are
expecting you in one of our network structures!
Arnaud Dornon, Director
Cher(e)s ami(e)s,
