8837_FICHE_CHANTIER_LOT1_5 23/06/08 16:32 Page 10 Allied landings' information posts, Juno Beach - Courseulles-sur-Mer Country: France Date of realisation: 2004 CHRYSO®Color P & CHRYSO®Dem Aqua 10 Project Concrete formulation • Details of the project • Specifications On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Allied Normandy landings, the city of Courseulles-sur-Mer decided to mark the main steps of the Allied attack by installing information posts along its western shore (on Juno Beach). • Concrete elements Realisation of different concrete elements, body-tinted and screen-printed: • 14 information posts: oblique concrete forms, these are body-tinted in a chiaroscuro of two different shades of green. The information panels are screen-printed. • 16 vertical and 24 horizontal benches: these are relatively simple forms, with or without information areas. Produced in white concrete, they can also be body-tinted in grey or green. Some vertical benches feature touches of enamelled lava. • 5 directional supports: in white or grey-tinted concrete. • 10 white concrete panels: set out in a spiral shape, they constitute the mosaic breccia figure. Products used • CHRYSO®Color P • CHRYSO®Dem Aqua 10 Results 3 shades designed on demand using CHRYSO®Color P, which has a high colouring power, and a colour that does not affect the technical characteristics of concrete. Exceptional facings thanks to the use of CHRYSO®Dem Aqua 10, an aqueous emulsion mould-release agent.
