Quick Reference Guide: One-time Account Update How to complete One-Time Account Update The Quick Reference Guide shows what existing SingPass users need to do when logging in to the enhanced SingPass service for the first time. 1) You will need to check or update your contact details. This is so that we can notify you when key SingPass activities take place. 2) You will also need to set up two security questions and answers. With this setup, you will be able to reset your password online and immediately if you forget your password in the future. Steps List Links / Screenshots 1. Log In After you click “Login” from any government website or e-Service, the SingPass login page will be displayed. (a) Enter your SingPass ID. (b) Enter password. Note: It is mandatory to provide your mobile number if you have a local address registered with the Government. Each mobile number should only be linked to one SingPass account. 5 Quick Reference Guide One-Time Account Update 4. To 4 verify contact details . A One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent via SMS to your mobile so as to verify that you have entered the correct mobile number. You should receive this OTP within one minute of your request. a (a) Enter the 6-digit OTP. (b) Click “Continue” to proceed. b Please note that this OTP will expire within five minutes of receipt. If you do not receive the mobile OTP after one minute, you may click on the “Resend OTP” link to request for a new OTP. 6 Quick Reference Guide One-Time Account Update 5. If you have provided your email address, a separate One-Time Password (OTP) will also be sent to your email so as to verify that you have entered the correct email address. You should receive this email OTP within one minute of your request. a (a) Enter the Email OTP (b) Click “Continue” to proceed. b Please note that this OTP will expire within five minutes of receipt. If you do not receive the email OTP after one minute, you may click on the “Resend OTP” link to request for a new OTP. Note: Email OTP that will be received is separate and different from SMS OTP received via mobile phone. 7 Quick Reference Guide One-Time Account Update set 6. Note: Answers to security questions are not case sensitive.
