CHRIST THE KING
Today’s second reading reminds us that the sacrifices of Christ free us
from sin and makes us a royal nation of priests in the service of God.
How am I using my gifts to serve God and others?
Thank you for your generosity to Fr. Louis Ekka
last weekend. Our parish raised $3,369.80 for the
Diocese of Gumla in India. God Bless you!
The St. Vincent DePaul Society has been given
four gift cards to Meijer for needy families in
the parish to help with a Thanksgiving meal. If
you know of a family in need please contact

In Memoriam
Parishioner, Carol Erickson, passed away on November 14th. Carol is survived by her husband of 51 years
Gene Erickson of Haslett and their children, Brian
(Lawna) Erickson of Kendallville, Indiana; Dr. Lisa
Erickson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and their ‘baby
girl’ – Patches, a Jack Russell Terrier. She always held
onto her deep Catholic faith – saying anywhere from 5
to 10 rosaries per day for others while exercising on
her Gazelle or at bedtime. A funeral Mass was held Saturday, November 21st. Please keep her family in your prayers.
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon
her.
It’s Giving Tree time again! Take one or two
candles with you while out Christmas shopping. The tree is covered with gift suggestions
for the Shared Pregnancy Center and the Williamston/Webberville Christmas Clearing
House. Addresses are on candles for monetary
donations to the Williamston Food Bank and
Pyper’s Diapers (if donating to Pyper’s Diapers, please make
donations to Sandy Whelton). Remember-leave gifts unwrapped
and put them under the Giving Tree.
ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT
on Fridays, following the 8:05 a.m. Mass until 7:00 p.m.
Sign up for an hour or stop in to spend some time with
the Lord.
KITCHEN CLEANING
The kitchen in St. Joseph Hall is going to undergo a
deep cleaning soon. Each ministry needs to organize
their cupboards and items. Please take the time to
throw away things you are not using. We appreciate
your help!

ST. MARY CHURCH
WILLIAMSTON, MICHIGAN
November 22, 2015
“We Learn to Love; We Love to Learn”
St. Mary School shares with the Church in the mission of Jesus Christ. In a faith-filled academic environment, children grow in their relationship with
God, the Catholic Church, and the community.
SCHOOL NEWS
The students, teachers, and staff would like to take this
opportunity to again thank the parent and parish volunteers who
made the Fall Rummage Sale such as success. This year’s sale
earned $7,500.00 for the school’s general operating fund! That is
a huge increase over last year’s sale, and we are so grateful for
the hard work and great donations that made such earnings possible. We are so very blessed to have your time, talent, and treasures. God bless you all.
The students and teachers, through the wonderful baking
talents of our St. Mary Parents, have been working on a service
project to raise money for “Trees for Troops,” an organization
which provides Christmas trees for military personnel and their
families. The students from grades PK/DK, K/1, and 2/3 have
each sponsored a bake sale at lunchtime. Grades 4/5 will sponsor
their bake sale on Monday, November 23, at lunchtime. Thus far
the students have raised 214.03, which will purchase 8 Christmas
trees. Once the last bake sale is completed the funds will be forwarded to “Trees for Troops” and the Christmas trees will be
delivered to military personnel and their families before Christmas. We have been averaging enough money for 2 trees per bake
sale so we anticipate that 10 military families will have a Christmas tree from the students at St. Mary School. A huge thank you
goes out to all of our St. Mary School parents who have baked
treats for these bake sales!
As we look forward to the Thanksgiving holiday week,
St. Mary School students, faculty and staff would like to wish our
entire St. Mary parish family a blessed Thanksgiving Day. May
the Lord bless you all with the gifts of peace and prosperity.
Yours in Christ,
Sue Penn, Principal
