WELCOME TO OUR WORLD AT NATURES COAST LANDINGS RV RESORT Gary Burghoff, Emmy Award Winner for his role as ‘Radar’ on M*A*S*H, is Our Resort’s Spokesperson, Friend, and Nature Coast Landings RV Resort Neighbor! This is the Map of Nature Coast Landings RV Resort Phase I Lots in Blue Phase II Lots in Green Phase III in Pink We welcome you to Nature Coast Landings RV Resort (NCL) , located on the Nature Coast of Florida, in Crystal River, Florida! When you think of Florida, most think of either 365 days of Sunshine, or Hurricanes, or Disney perhaps. But, when you think of Nature Coast Landings RV Resort in Crystal River, you should think about sunshine, nature, reduced incidence of hurricanes, and entertainment of any magnitude not far away at all. Simply, we have it all here. Located a little north of Tampa on the Coast, we enjoy weather that is sunny and comfortable. We are a five W (5 Star) Award Winning Resort by Woodalls and have equally high ratings by Trailer Life Directory. Monthly Fees Owner’s Monthly Fees Total $82.00 a month Items Covered: Water Sewer Garbage Disposal Wifi Lawn Maintenance Gated Entrance Maintenance of Association Properties (including heating , AC, cleaning, etc.) Screened, Heated Swimming Pool Two Clubhouses Large Kitchens (in Clubhouses) Laundry Facility Onsite Bocce Court and Horseshoe Pits Insurance Management And, Other Budgeted Items One part of a full ownership RV park is the maintenance of the many facilities and ongoing running of the resort. At Nature Coast Landings RV Resort, we do our utmost to provide the needed, and wanted, services without the, sometimes exorbitant, costs. Therefore, at our park, we have managed to keep the fees, reasonable and fair. Our facilities are newer and totally enjoyable. Our very manageable monthly fees, allow YOU to enjoy the park and the area, while being able to have funds to do as you please. It is just the way it should be! Our fees are hard to beat! Nature Coast Landings Endorsement by Actor Gary Burghoff GARY BURGHOFF (Emmy Award winning M*A*S*H star, Author, Inventor, Wildlife Artist and happy NATURE COAST LANDING'S NEIGHBOR!) Fellow RVers, like so many of us on the verge of retirement, I sought a Florida haven from winter snow. I looked for a pleasant, laid-back environment away from stress and in harmony with nature. That is why the name "NATURE COAST LANDINGS" kept popping up in my inquiries. Located on (as yet un-discovered) Florida's central west coast, THIS RV Resort stood out above all the others. Found on the far-northern tip of the town of CRYSTAL RIVER, the Resort Community is just far enough away from city traffic and stress, and just close enough to ALL MODERN CONVENIENCES and attractions, to provide the serenity and close Community friendship I was looking for! Add to that, OUR READY ACCESS TO THE GULF OF MEXICO for fishing and pleasure boating, our wonderful biking and hiking trails, and nature preserves (adjacent to our property) and I knew THIS WAS IT! The thing I love the most about our beautiful (spacious) Park is the fact that when I return every fall, I RETURN TO THE SAME DEAR, FRIENDLY NEIGHBORS! Unlike a "Campground", NATURE COAST LANDINGS, IS DESIGNED AS AN RV (COMMUNITY), which also features many RESORT-STYLE amenities. Come see our two wonderful CLUB HOUSES where we often party and dine together; or our BEAUTIFUL Screened POOL. Perhaps you would like to participate in the many activities organized by our Activities Directors. Want to take a Caribbean Cruise? Let's do it TOGETHER taking advantage of our special group rates! I tell all my friends and family "COME ON DOWN!" BUT BE CAREFUL! - If you stay a week at NATURE COAST LANDINGS RV RESORT COMMUNITY, You'll STAY A LIFETIME! Just as I have chosen to do! The History of the City of Crystal River from www.crystalriverfl.org “Over 100 years ago, William Turner made his home, named Cedar Grove, just north of Crystal River. The site, which was situated mid-way between Crystal River and the Withlacoochee River, is now known as Red Level. In the early 1900's Crystal River was the site of a thriving Cedar Harvesting industry including a mill that manufactured pencil slats for the Dixon Pencil Company. This area has always been a popular designation for fishing enthusiasts, including many celebrities. During the pre- World War II era, Dazzy Vance, a famous baseball player who was actually from this area, brought his colleagues here to enjoy the sport of fishing. One of his friends and colleagues was Babe Ruth. Present day population has increased to over 3700 residents and has continued to be a popular tourist destination and good location to settle and enjoy our community with "Small Town Charm.” Lolly Island At Sunrise Old Library Welcome To NCL The Association’s Clubhouse and Pavilion In the Clubhouse you will find the kitchen for more intimate gatherings, In the Clubhouse you will also find the TV Lounge Area, and Space to Relax with Family and Friends. The Cooter Legend – How it all Began The Legend Of the Cooter: A Southern-fried fable One day long, long ago Possum called the animals of what is now Citrus County to a meeting on the banks of Lake Tsala Apopka. There was a difficulty to be addressed. “My friends,” Possum said, nervously flicking his skinny, hairless tail back and forth, “we have a problem. Old Gator has been makin‟ a terrible ruckus, and none of us can get a wink of sleep. Somebody needs to go and see what‟s wrong.” “Turtle!” Raccoon exclaimed. “Turtle‟s perfect—good at swimmin‟, and he‟s got a hard shell to protect himself.” The other animals, fearing Gator‟s sharp teeth and sharper hunger, also urged Turtle to go. Too shy to protest, he swam out to the center of the lake. There, he saw Gator—big, green and splashing fiercely. How could he ever confront the beast? Turtle paddled nearer and was about to ask him what was wrong when, suddenly, Gator lunged at him. He withdrew into his shell just in time to hide from Gator‟s crushing jaws. Next, he felt himself being lifted upward, then sinking rapidly. Turtle peeked out of his shell and saw that he was in the great lizard‟s belly. And he saw a sharp spike from a trout‟s fin imbedded in the side of Gator‟s stomach. Turtle pulled the spike out, and a great roar resounded around him. Then he abruptly tumbled out of Gator‟s belly and into the lake. Gator felt so much better that he returned Turtle to shore on his massive back, promising friendship— and quiet—forever. Turtle‟s remarkable bravery received cheers and great praise from all the animals. “From now on,” Possum said, “we‟ll call you „Courageous Turtle‟.” “Cooter!” echoed baby Mouse. And that was the name that stuck. Today, The Great American Cooter Festival in Inverness celebrates the little turtle with the big heart. Come join in all the fun. For the SNOWBIRD who wants to have something to Come Home to, this is an IDEAL way to OWN and use your own space. Simply it is yours! And, coming back year after year, makes it a great ‘home’ to come ‘home’ to. With the cost of ownership at NCL at very, very reasonable prices, especially compared to other parts of Florida, you will soon realize that you can have it all without spending all your money. No worries of mowing the lawn, paying a water or sewer bill, the Association has it taken care of with the LOW monthly fees … fees you won’t see in many places. It is all here for you! Come join our family! Experience nature, good times, relaxation, and all that life offers! This will be the BEST investment in YOU that you’ve ever made!
