Ebenezer Christian Reformed Church
May 10, 2015
Today we celebrate Mother’s Day. We wish to honor and bless all Mothers and
Mothers-to-be. We know the task of motherhood is not easy, and at times can
become overwhelming, but the difference you make is outstanding. Our focus this
morning will help us to consider simplifying our lives when we feel like it’s too
much to handle. We are glad you are here and invite you to stay after the service
for coffee, juice, and fellowship!

Greeting
Congratulations to our many Graduates, your hard work and dedication shows! We
are proud of you and thankful for you and for the many ways you bless our church
family. Congratulations to Petro K and Kaija M (Grade 9), Teddy H and Maggie V
(Grade 12), Graeme B (Veterinary Medicine), Jamie B (Nursing), Grace D (Social
Work), Heather D (Education), Brent K (Civil Engineering), and anyone else we
may have missed! We wish you God’s blessings as you turn a new page in life and
either
continue with higher studies, enter a new career, or enjoy other
opportunities!
Thank you so very much for your continued prayers and support. We appreciate all
the cards, visits, phone calls and well wishes. Though the recovery period will be
long, William continues to regain his strength daily. His cardiologist specialist
appointment last week revealed a positive report! Praise be to God!

CHILDREN’S CHURCH COLLECTION– After the children’s message the children
have an opportunity to donate to an organization through World Renew called
“Free a Family” which helps people around the world overcome poverty through
community programs in agriculture, health, nutrition, literacy, and more.
1st Offering - EBENEZER MINISTRIES - This offering is used to cover the day-today expenses of the church, fund the various ministries at Ebenezer, cover the
salaries of staff, and contributes to the ministry shares that we are committed to
as members of Classis Alberta North and the CRC Denomination.
2nd Offering - NEPAL - World Renew is working with CRWRM staff and other
agencies who were already in place in Nepal in response to the catastrophic
earthquake that struck on April 25. Your donations will help World Renew provide
water purification tablets, water filtration systems, emergency food, cooking fuel,
and tents to those most in need. Until May 25, donations made to World Renew
and other registered charities are being matched 1:1 by the Canadian
Government. For more information on World Renew’s partnerships and efforts in
Nepal, see worldrenew.net
Next Week - BACK TO GOD MINISTRIES - We exist to share the Gospel in
communities worldwide using radio, the Internet and other technology. Our goal
hasn't changed for more than 70 years: seeing people's hearts transformed by
God's grace. Back to God Ministries International envisions a world where media
is being used effectively to proclaim the good news that brings spiritual rebirth,
grows discipleship, and transforms communities. More info at backtogod.org
WOMEN OF HOPE – Our next meeting will be held Monday, May 11th at West
FREE WEBINARS - Join us May 13 for "Spiritual Care for Alcoholics, Addicts and
Their Families" presented by Tom Kragt, Minister of Congregational Life & Recovery
at Evergreen Ministries. This webinar will explore various aspects of addiction,
recovery, and how the church can be a place of healing for individuals and families
impacted by alcoholism and addiction. For details and registration for this free,
one-hour event visit crcna.org/webinars
Join us on May 20 for "Introduction to Spiritual Warfare" presented by Jeff Stam.
This webinar explores why a western worldview has caused the Church to often
ignore or deny the reality of Satan and the demonic
and, in contrast, what a biblical worldview would
have us believe about spiritual realities and their
potential impact in our lives. To register for this
free, one-hour event, visit crcna.org/webinars.
GET CONNECTED! - The Network has always

Council has invited Bobbi Junior to speak at the 7pm June 8th Council
Meeting at the Leduc Civic Centre. This presentation may be valuable
to you personally and to your ministry with people living with the

exciting year in the Library. We have enjoyed and
appreciated the new facility, being able to expose all
of our books and DVDs, adding to our collection and
observing more readers making use of our resources. The availability of the Library throughout
the week has also increased the number of books
and DVDs that are borrowed. Thank you for taking the time to sign out
items and return them when you are finished with them.
If your children are signing out items and there are no librarians in the
Library please ensure that they fill the cards out with their name and the date.
