The use of a 13 mm wide waterproof tape instead of the usual 20
mm wide tape on the main seams allows us to use less tape and glue
and thus achieve extra breathability: we have evaluated this gain to
be 7% to 10%.This very difficult operation requires high performance
equipment and genuine know-how to ensure a perfect seal on our
GORE-TEX® protections.

Ceramic particle inclusion technology, allowing area-specific
reinforcement, is a major innovation for protective clothing.
Lighter and more flexible, garments using this technique are
particularly comfortable, while also increasing the stretch
of the stressed areas. Ceramics have high mechanical
strength, low density, high hardness and high resistance to
wear. Neutral and amorphous, ceramics are danger-free for
humans and their environment. Ceramics retain their solidity
even at very high temperatures, withstand thermal shocks,
and offer high resistance to ageing and weathering.
