Lidia Baich
critical acclaim
„Baich generated an evenly beautiful
tone of rare dark timbre with a brilliant
bow technique. With a grand sense for
sound and perfectly adjusted to the pulse
of the piano, she fascinated by color and
design with simple frugal musicality.“
(Tiroler Tageszeitung)
„The young and attractive virtuoso Lidia
Baich also turned out as an adornment
of her profession with an awkward, because exceedingly known work: the
violin-concerto of Felix MendelssohnBartholdy. Suitable to the Season and
the finale of the concert season the selfconfident artist performed the piece as
a fine summer night dream, technicaly
brilliant and inspired.“ (Badische Nachrichten)
„Dancing with the violin. Actually, she
wanted to be a prima ballerina. Lidia
Baich captures the dance and motion in
the arrangements of her favorite music.
Excellent arrangements, a colorful and
richly nuanced, rhythmic violin-playing,
which leaves no wishes unfulfilled, and
finally a crystal-clear sound for a culinary
program at the highest standard.“
(Mirjam Jessa, ORF )
„What is presented here by Lidia Baich
comes from the grand tradition of violin
transcriptions. The transcriptions set a
focus on romantic repertoire in a broad
sense. A emphasis on ballet adds even
more attraction to this. The interpretation could not be more floating, elegant,
virtuosic, and serious at the same
time in instrumental prowess and
mastery of material.“
(Heinz Sichrowsky, NEWS )

„Festive Easter entertainment with the
Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra
conducted by Lorin Maazel … This time
the yearly discovery came from St. Petersburg (over Vienna): the violinist Lidia
Baich, excellent and secure with the wellknown Introduction and Rondo capriccioso from Saint-Saëns.“
(Munich Merkur)
„Lidia is a brilliant virtuoso of sounds.
What she could induce with pieces by
Liszt via Grieg and Saint-Saëns was simply amazing. Again and again she conjured musical enjoyment, which one can
listen to only attentively, as she drew
sounds of all kinds from her violin. All
compositions require a ultimate degree
of virtuosity and Baich has brought this
in all facets to sound. Through her sen
sitive playing in finely differentiated and
mysterious atmosphere she brought the
sound-timbre to the brightest light. Simply thrilling.“
