Die Installation sollte ausschließlich von einer geschulten Fachkraft durchgeführt
werden!
Lesen Sie vor dem Einbau diese Anleitung sorgfältig durch!
Das Interface ist für 12 Volt ausgelegt!
Durch Softwareupdates des Fahrzeugherstellers (diese werden
teilweise beim Service der Niederlassungen und Händler
vorgenommen) kann die Funktionsfähigkeit dieses Interface
eingeschränkt/aufgehoben werden.
Für diesen Fall bieten wir bis ein Jahr nach Kauf des Interfaces ein
kostenloses Softwareupdate an. Das Interface muss frei
eingeschickt werden. Kosten für Ein- und Ausbau auch im
Reklamationsfall werden nicht erstattet.
Rechtlicher Hinweis:
Dieses Interface ist gedacht zur Darstellung stehender Menüs (z.B. MP3 Menü von
Nachrüst-DVD-Playern) während der Fahrt. Der Fahrer darf weder direkt noch indirekt durch
bewegte Bilder während der Fahrt abgelenkt werden. In den meisten Ländern/Staaten ist
dieses gesetzlich verboten. Wir schließen daher jede Haftung für Sach- und
Personenschäden aus, die mittelbar sowie unmittelbar durch den Einbau sowie Betrieb
dieses Interfaces verursacht wurden.

Vor der Installation die Zündung abschalten und Fahrzeugbatterie abklemmen,
ansonsten initialisiert sich das Interface nicht!
Vor dem Einbau
Vor dem Einbau sollte die Dipschalterstellung der BOX-TF400 überprüft und wie folgt
eingestellt werden:
Dip 1: ON, Dip 2: OFF, Dip 3: OFF
Damit die Verbindung zwischen dem Interface und dem fahrzeugeigenen Kabelsatz
erfolgen kann, müssen Steckerhülsen vom Interface und fahrzeugeigenen Kabelsatz
getauscht werden.
Steckerhülse aus dem Interface und ebenso die farbige Hülse vom 18-Pin-Anschluss
am fahrzeugeigenen Kabelsatz lösen.
Die farbige Hülse über den 18-Pin-Anschluss vom Interface und die schwarze Hülse
über den 18-Pin-Anschluss des fahrzeugeigenen Kabelsatzes stülpen.
Die 18-Pin Stecker des Interface zwischen Fahrzeugkabelbaum 18-Pin Stecker und
18-Pin Buchse des Comand stecken.
Die ISO-Stecker des Interface zwischen Fahrzeugkabelbaum 8-Pin ISO-Stecker und
8-Pin ISO Buchse des Comand stecken.
Falls das Comand System nicht in Mercedes Fahrzeug eingebaut wird, muß evtl. die
gelb/grüne Leitung an das Gala-Signal angeschlossen werden.
Belegung C2-Stecker:
Pin 6 = Gala (Geschwindigkeitssignal)
Pin 8 = CAN-LOW
Pin 9 = CAN-HIGH

This device should only be installed by a qualified person.
Please read the instructions before proceeding with the installation.
The interface is specified for 12 volt.
The efficiency of this interface may be affected by software updates
undertaken by the vehicle manufacturer or their representing
dealers. In such cases and within one year of the date of purchase,
we provide the relevant software updates free of charge. We do not,
however, give refunds for the installation or dismantling costs on
such occasions, and the interface must be delivered to us.
Legal information:
This interface should be used to display fixed menus during your journey, for example the
MP3 menu for DVD upgrades. The driver of the vehicle must never be distracted by moving
pictures. In most countries/states, watching movies whilst driving is prohibited. Therefore, we
do not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury resulting, directly or
indirectly, from the installation or the operation of this TV-free interface.

Before installing, switch off the ignition and disconnect the battery. Omitting to
do this, will prevent the interface from initialising.
Prior to installation
Before installation the dip switch settings should be checked and set as follows:
Dip 1: ON, Dip 2: OFF, Dip 3: OFF
To fit the 18pin connectors of the vehicles harness into the interface an vice versa,
the connectors’ shells have to be exchanged.
Disasemble the shells of the 18pin connectors of the car’s harness and of the
interface by taking out the inlays.
Mount the colored shell of the vehicle’s harness onto the inlay of the interface and
the interfaces black shell on the inlay of the car’s harness.
Plug the interface between the 18pin connector of the vehicle’s harness and the
18pin socket of the navigation unit. Also plug the interface’s 8pin connector and
socket between the vehicle harnesses’ 8pin ISO connector and the navigation unit’s
8pin ISO socket.
If the Comand is not installed in a Mercedes, the yellow/green cable has to be
connected to the Gala Signal of the vehicle.
Pindef of the C2-Connector:
Pin 6 = Gala (speedsignal)
Pin 8 = CAN-LOW
Pin 9 = CAN-HIGH
