A Message from Nigel
Staff.
It’s a beautiful day in the State of New York
HAPPY NEW YEAR.
I’m hope you’ve all enjoyed the holidays and are ready for an
amazing 2016, especially summer 2016!
Ruthie, Sam, Lily Jean and I have just returned from a very
enjoyable 2-week holiday with family in Scotland. Now it’s back
to reality and everything involved in making French Woods
such a great camp.
The anticipation for the upcoming reunion is growing each day!
It’s not too far away and you can still register by contacting us
at 607-637-CAMP or info@fwsportsarts.com. The reunion is at
camp January 15th – 18th. Free transportation from NYC and
NEWARK airport is available. I know everyone is looking
forward to seeing each other – but won’t it be strange to see
your summer camp friends in winter clothing?
Camp Fairs and Open Houses have been very successful so far.
Thanks to many of you who have opened up your houses and
visited us at camp fairs. Please continue to ‘spread the world’
to your friends, family and co-workers.
Camper registration continues to be strong and staffing is
going very well. I’ve hired a bunch of new and very skilled staff
to join us next summer and re-hired most of your favorites
from last year.
In 2 weeks we’ll be launching our new website complete with
promo video. Keep an eye out for that. Then, a week later we’ll
have our new camp brochure available. Keep an eye out and
feel free to share. If you want a new brochure to share just let
us know.
Renovation work continues at camp. We now have 3 on our
camp maintenance/building team in addition to the
contractors working on separate projects. The Geek Lab is
almost completely a new bunk and work has started in the old
cooking dept. to turn the entire building into a new bunk. The
new tennis courts have been leveled and are settling until the
spring when we’ll surface, paint and fence them. It’s crazy
around here and I enjoy every moment of it!

contract. Look forward to more great music

Staff with contracts and who have not
returned a signed copy to camp, please
make this a priority.
International staff you should all be finished
with your visa applications and be awaiting
embassy appointment dates. If you haven’t
completed your visa application form please
move quick.
Baseball/Softball coach needed for next
summer. If anyone knows someone who
would be great for this position let us know.
