Severna Park, MD 21146 410-987-4700 www.severnaparkumc.org We believe that everyone is called and capable of serving others in Christ’s name! Our mission is “go out in faith” as we follow Christ’s call to be in ministry alongside the least of these amongst us. How can you get involved in missions at SPUMC? Learn – Read more about Jesus’ call for all Disciples to serve and love one another. Talk to members of our missions team about the needs of those we are serving. Research the issues we are working to address. Pray- Pray for our congregation, leaders, and volunteers as we listen for where God is calling us to serve. Pray for all of the participants on mission trips and projects. Pray for those we are building relationships with through service. Give – Give tangible items or financial gifts to the many mission projects at SPUMC. Without these gifts it would not be possible to serve others in Christ’s name. Go- Step out in faith, and possibly out of your comfort zone, and participate in an SPUMC mission project or trip! When you serve others you not only help those in need, but you will also be transformed by Christ’s presence! Lead- Pray about volunteering to be a leader. Remember that leadership comes in many forms: serving on committees, organizing trips and projects, witnessing to the congregation, researching new mission opportunities, and overseeing administrative tasks. If you would like to get more involved or learn more contact Jennifer Ford at: dmfjkc@verizon.net. She will help connect you to a mission at SPUMC. If you know which mission you are interested in contact the leader directly (see next page for contacts).
