From our Director of Missions - Sharing the Vision—Acts 1:8
God led us to share a vision for ministry for our association based
on Acts 1:8. Helping to build the kingdom of God locally, we have
sought to strengthen congregations and assist in starting new churches.
Also, we have entered into a partnership with Joe Greene in forming the
New England Equip Center. Joe serves as a pastor and teacher working with a local church and bi-vocational pastors nearby. God willing, a
team will be in Armenia when you read this. Keep us in your prayers for
guidance and strength in all we do. Additional efforts to do missions
have been designed and are being carried out by individual congregations. Praise God, and bless those who serve him faithfully!
Jesus demonstrated what he believed by following the vision of God
for his life. Giving himself completely, he gained eternal life for us all.
He showed us that if we seek life only for self-hording and cluttering up
our life...we lose it. Giving of our self for others is to gain life now and to
have the joy of life eternal. Each day we must trust God with all he
would have us do, believing that he will meet our every need.
I believe God has a vision and a purpose for your life. This definitely
includes being on mission for your savior, Jesus. What does he want
you to do now for the glory of God? Through pray, I have no doubt that
he will reveal His will for you. One missionary put it this way, “He is no
fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.”
Praying, giving, and going in Jesus name--what a vision! Will you follow
his lead?
