How to access Medway Council remote
access server for support
Open an RDP session by running mstsc; to
do this click on START then RUN and type
mstsc in the box that appears. In some
versions of Windows RUN will be in the
START – All Programs – Accessories section
Click OK, then inside the box that appears type eduras.medway.org.uk
A SecurID authentication screen should appear - Enter your passcode from
your RSA token
NB:
1. Initially your passcode is the six digit number on the RSA token, and
the first time you logon you will be prompted to create an extra four
digit PIN.
2. Subsequently each time you log in after step 1 your Passcode will
then become the PIN you choose (this is static) followed by the
six digit number on the RSA token.
3. A terminal service logon screen should appear, enter your username
and password. The username will be the first part of your e-mail e.g.
bloggsj007@medway.org.uk but only use the first part bloggsj007.
Medway will have sent you a generic password to use but if you have
not received this then please ring 01634 332828 opt 2.
4. Once logged into the server you can then remote to whatever PC you
need to provide support on.
5. It is up to the school to ensure remote support is enabled on the PC’s
