Patient care, like other technically complex and high risk services, is an interdependent process carried out by teams of individuals with advanced technical training who have varying roles and decision making responsibilities. While technical training assures proficiency in specific tasks, it does not address the potential for error deriving from communication and decision making in dynamic environments. In response to these challenges, the aviation industry has developed training focussed on the role of human factors on teams working in complex environments. These techniques have been successfully developed and applied by Global Air Training, working with NHS Trusts and other healthcare organisations. The TRM training course demonstrates the applicability of lessons proven in aviation to patient safety and draws upon case studies and experience in NHS Trusts. Conditions The fee for this course is £275+vat. This includes all lunch, refreshments, tuition and course materials. GAT standard terms and conditions apply. All cancellations will incur a 20% administration fee. Cancellations within 28 days of the course date will incur the full course fee. Substitutions may be made at any time.
