Any juniors or seniors interested in these presentations, please RSVP with Mr. Bell if you will be attending one of these meetings so he can excuse you from class. • Tuesday September 16 – University of Notre Dame at 1 p.m. in SC5 • Friday, September 19 – University of Southern California at 9:15 a.m. Adventure Club, All those signed up for the trip to Santa Cruz Island -­‐ please come to an important meeting in room 206 at lunch this Wednesday, September 17. Attention Speech and Debaters: Anyone interested in participating in the annual Improv Icebreaker at Gabrielino HS on Saturday, September 20, from 8:00 a.m. -­‐ 5:00 p.m. please sign up with Mr. Mesisca in room 220 by this Friday. Also, to register for the 2014-­‐2015 Speech and Debate Team please bring you $50 registration fee and pick up a Speech and Debate Team T-­‐shirt. Registration includes membership in the National Forensic League -­‐ a nationally recognized speech organization. The NHS: National Honor Society application is now available in Miss Wammack's office and on the MHS website under Quicklinks> forms and documents> in the College and Guidance counseling section. All students in grades 10, 11, or 12 with a GPA of 3.0 or above are eligible to apply. Applications are due Friday, September 19, to Miss Wammack. All Seniors need to make an appointment with Lifetouch studios to have their senior portrait taken for the yearbook. If you do not have your picture taken, you will not be pictured. The studio will be on campus September 29th for a Make-­‐up Senior Portrait day. The senior off campus lunch form for the month of September is available in Mr. Kozak’s office, on Mrs. Gutierrez’s desk and on the Maranatha website under Quicklinks > Forms and Documents in the Academic and Student Life section. The California Scholarship Federation (CSF) and National Honor Society (NHS) applications are now available in the counseling office and on the Maranatha website under Quicklinks > Forms and Documents in the College and Guidance Counseling section. All students in grade 10, 11, and 12 are eligible to apply. Both applications will be due Friday, September 19. Planning on taking the SAT or ACT this fall? Maranatha will be hosting the Princeton Review SAT/ACT Prep Class on campus on September 20.
