FINNEYTOWN LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT ONLINE PAYMENT - School Fees and Cafeteria Purchases August 1, 2014 Dear Parents/Guardians: During the 2014-2015 school year, parents will again be able to use convenient, internet-based online payment systems to pay the majority of their school purchases and fees, as follows: PaySchools Link is reserved for the payment of student fees and other non-cafeteria purchases and fees EZ Pay Link is reserved for the payment of school breakfast and school lunch cafeteria purchases Both the PaySchools and EZ Pay links are accessible from the Finneytown homepage. Please keep in mind, these are totally independent systems, requiring separate account setup, usernames, passwords, etc. Participation in either is voluntary and you may enroll at any time. Online Payment System Benefits include: Convenience: Parents can access information and make payments 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Control: Eliminate lost checks or cash. Security: Ensures private and secure transmissions by requiring passwords throughout the program and not storing personal bank or credit card information. Reporting Features: You may view historical purchases and payments online on both systems. EZ Pay will allow you to view your child’s meal account balance online, see a detailed list of items purchased, view payments (cash, check or online payments) received from your child and, if you choose, automatically e-mail you when your child’s meal account balance is low. PaySchools allows you to see your order payment history going back 18 months. Online Payment System User Reference and Notes PAYSCHOOLS Link 1) Go to the Finneytown homepage (www.finneytown.org) to find the PaySchools icon link. 2) Used only to pay school fees and all other non-cafeteria purchases. 3) Does not have a transaction fee. 4) Does not require that you know your student ID to set up a new account. 5) Accepts credit cards and electronic checks. 6) Payments are recorded to the student’s online account immediately. 7) For customer support, please email info@payschools.com or call (866) 729-5353, Option 2 or contact David Oliverio, Treasurer, Finneytown Local Schools at 728-3707. EZ PAY Link 1) Go to the Finneytown homepage (www.finneytown.org) to find the EZ Pay icon or directly to www.spsezpaymilfordexempted.com . 2) Used only for cafeteria purchases. 3) Charges a $2.50 service fee per transaction to the card holder for each credit card payment. The school district makes no money on this charge. Fees are collected to cover the cost of external processing agents. Note: For families with more than one child, EZ Pay will accept payments to multiple meal accounts for one $2.50 transaction fee. 4) Requires input of the student’s lunch ID number to set up a new account. The lunch ID number is “3” plus the six digit Finneytown student ID number. 5) Accepts Visa, MasterCard and Discover credit card payments. 6) Payments are posted to the student’s meal account by the end of the next business day. 7) For customer support, please contact EZ Pay at 942-2400 or contact Sarah Renz, Assistant Director of Nutrition Services, at 576-2293. Cafeteria Purchases / EZ Pay Notes Schools cannot accept credit card payments for a student’s meal account over the phone, directly at the cash register, or on the PaySchools’ online website. EZ Pay does not charge parents to: o Set up an account to view your child(ren)’s meal account balance. o View a Meal Transaction Report with a detailed list of cash, check or online payments received and items your child(ren) have purchased over the past 30 days. o Register to receive an email when your child’s meal account balance is low. Easy-to-Use EZ Pay Instructions Enrollment Questions? Call EZ Pay at 942-2400 To Set Up a New Account for Meal Account Payments 1. Log onto EZ Pay website at www.spsezpaymilfordexempted.com. 2. 3. Choose the red “Register to Use SPS EZ Pay” tab on the right hand side of the screen to set up a new account. The information needed is as follows: First Name Last Name Mailing Address Phone Number Email Address Password Choose Next Enter student’s Lunch ID Number - The lunch ID number is “3” plus the six digit Finneytown student ID number. As an example, if your child’s Finneytown student ID number is 414019, enter 3414019. o If your child does not know their student ID number, you may contact Cheryl Wilkins at 576-2290. Enter Student’s Last Name Choose “Add Student to List” To add additional children, repeat step 3. **Students new to the district may not have a meal account established to accept payments until after their first day of school. To Make a Meal Account Payment Online 1. Log in using your email address and password 2. Click on the student’s name 3. Enter the payment amount 4. Choose “Add to Payment Basket” 5. If paying multiple students, repeat steps 2-4 6. Choose “My Basket” 7. Enter/Confirm Billing Address 8. Enter credit card information 9. Choose Submit Payment 6. Once your payment has been processed, you will receive an email confirmation of your payment from EZ Pay. To Check Your Child’s Meal Account Balance 1. Log in using your email address and password 2. Meal account balance(s) will display for all students added to your account To View Items Your Child has Purchased 1. Log in using your email address and password 2. Click on the student’s name 3. Choose “Meal Transaction History” on the right hand side of the screen **Please note, the student database may not be updated until just prior to the first day of school, so it's possible that you will not find your student listed at his/her new school until the day before school starts.
