INVITATION
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is my great pleasure to invite you to attend the 10th
IUPAC International Conference on Novel Materials and their Synthesis (NMS-X) and
Post-Conference in the coming October, 2014 in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, China. More than
180 invited lectures will present their recent research progress in various fields of novel materials
including their preparation, characterization, properties and applications. It’s a good chance to
renew our friendship and to facilitate discussions on fine chemistry, biomaterials, functional
polymers, energy storage and conversion materials, nano materials, ceramic materials, metallic
materials, and other novel materials.
Zhengzhou University (ZZU) was founded on July 10, 2000 through the annexation of the
former Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou University of Technology and Henan Medical
University. ZZU has become the only national “211 Project” key university in Henan Province.
Co-sponsored by the Henan Provincial Government and the Ministry of Education, it is the sole
university in Henan Province to be supported by “The Midwest Universities Comprehensive
Strength Promotion Project”. ZZU has four campuses, and the new campus is about 4 km to our
conference site. ZZU has at present over 49,000 full-time undergraduates, 15,000 full-time
graduates and 1,100 international students. Meanwhile, there are over 6,000 full-time staff
members.
Zhengzhou City is the capital city of Henan Province, which is situated in the central plain of
China and near Yellow River, about 700 km south of Beijing and1000 km west of Shanghai. You
can easily transfer your flight from almost any large airport in China such as Beijing, Shanghai,
Guangzhou to Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport. The long history and brilliant
civilization have made Henan Province rich in humanistic and natural scenery, where there are
many historic interests and scenic beauty, such as the Songshan scenic spots with Shaolin Temple;
Yinxu Museum with all of its buildings modeled on the style of architecture of the Shang Dynasty
that is the first integrate historical site with landscape art in China; Yuntai Mountain, the famous
geography view point, is an international level geology park. A Post-Conference will be arranged
around Henan province.
The conference site, Glory Hotel, is located in the city of Zhengzhou, which is traffic
convenience and near our university. This hotel also boasts the largest industry in Henan hotel
indoor fitness, swimming, tennis, badminton, table tennis and other high-end sports club house.
We hope you will enjoy staying there.
If you have further questions or problems, please contact us in time.
Looking forward to your active participation to add a lot of colors to the success of this
Conference!
Sincerely yours,
Shaokui Cao
