Bring to the hallway near counseling between now and November 30. We will distribute. Thanks! (5) ASVAB Results ASVAB results are now in. If you took the ASVAB test on October 8th and have Ms. Starr as an instructor, she will have your test results. If you do not have Ms. Starr and you signed up in the Career Center for the exam, please stop by the Career Center to pick them up. (5) Class of 2015 Senior Class Party ButterBraid Pastry Roll Sales: Now through 10/28 - Order Form and Product Description can be found on the website at: http://2015rhsseniors.weebly.com/fundraising.html Seniors have the opportunity to receive extra raffle tickets - see website for details. (6) Do you have a great idea for this year’s Senior Party theme? Theme Selection meeting - Tuesday 10/21 at 7:00 in the IMC. All Senior Parents welcome! (1) Origami Owl Fundraiser – Tuesday, 10/21 at 5:30pm - prior to the party planning meeting, we will have a Origami Owl Fundraising Party in the IMC. 30-50% of all sales come back to the RHS Senior Party! For more information- www.2015rhsseniors.weebly.com.(1) RHS Arts & Craft Fair Saturday November 1, 2014 9AM - 4 PM 125 + Vendors Concessions/Bake Sale/Raffle (3) ExCEL Award If you are interested in your son or daughter applying for the Excel Award have them stop in the athletic office for an application. Deadline to apply is Tuesday, November 25th. The criteria is as follows: To be eligible for the ExCEL Award, students must: 1. be a junior in high school 2. make satisfactory progress toward graduation requirements 3. participate in a League-sponsored fine arts and/or athletic activity 4. hold a leadership position in their school 5. work voluntarily in their community (3) COLLEGE AND SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION A list of current scholarship opportunities can be found on Family Connections. Once you log in to Family Connections, go to the "Colleges" tab, scroll down and click on the "scholarship list" link to view the list of scholarships and/or download scholarship applications. Scholarships Valley Athletic Association will award 3-6 scholarships ($500-1500). Applications are available in the Career Center or on Family Connections. Applicants must be a past VAA participant and volunteer. Due 3/31/15. A great showing of Irish talent! Last dual meet on Tuesday at Valley Middle 6pm. One win away from an undefeated SSC record! (1) Boys Basketball Interested in being a team manager for the Boys' Basketball program? If interested, please email Coach Shelton at keenanshelton@yahoo.com Nordic Ski Team All students grades 7-12 interested in Nordic skiing must attend the introductory meeting Sunday, October 26 at EVHS, rm 250 at 6:30pm with a parent. No experience needed! Returning skiers meet at 7:30pm, parents go to rm 350. (2) ARTS, ACTIVITIES AND CLUBS Marching Band Congratulations to the RHS Marching Band for their outstanding performances at the 2014 Bands of America St. Louis Super Regional. The band was awarded 2nd place in Class AAA, received awards for Outstanding General Effect, Outstanding Visual and placed 5th overall in the finals competition in the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis. There were 64 band representing 13 states. Rosemount was the highest placing band of the 7 local bands that attended the regional. Thank you to the nearly 600 parents and family members that were in attendance at the performance. Your enthusiasm and excitement during this two day event truly was evident for all the competing bands.(3) Debate William Lai and Justin Myrah won their divisions at the St. Croix Prep debate tournament. William, Justin, Lauren Kirkley, Aisha Mohamed, Sahra Mohamed and Jason Senthil won speaker awards. (3) Trap Team Rosemount earned the #3 rank this week in our conference. Congratulations to Dalton Scurr, Brad Heimkes, Jack Waite, Ryan Klopp, Noah Smith, Grant Toenges, Riley Mensing, Christian Winter and Alexis Miller. (3) Musical Auditions Auditions for the musical, A Christmas Carol, will be held on Monday, October 20th and Tuesday, October 21st. Students interested should pick up a packet of information from Ms. Toso in the choir room or Mr. Miller in room 214. Parent Education Conference - Saturday, November 1 - 8am-12:30pm - Eastview High School Plan for a morning filled with great parenting tips! Hear keynote speaker and author, Ada Alden, talk about being prepared, being intentional and being present. Choose two breakout workshops from over 20 and obtain relevant parenting information offered by local experts and District 196 teachers and staff.
