Over $63,000 raised for the PC®
Over $63,000 raised for the PC® Children’s Charity! Fortinos Upper Centennial creates a fun display with their sold customer icons. From Friday, September 26th to Thursday, October 9th, Fortinos stores raised money for the PC® Children’s Charity. 100% of donations go directly back into the charity to help local families in need. Across all 22 Fortinos locations & thanks to the generosity of our customers and employees, we raised a total of $63,251.00. This year alone we have been able to help 57 different families directly living in Fortinos communities. Dollars raised go towards providing various physical & cognitive therapies, service animals, home modifications, camp programs, etc., for children and families living with disabilities. Fortinos donates $19,997 to The Heart & Stroke Foundation! Collectively, our 22 Fortinos stores raised almost $20,000 for the Heart & Stroke Foundation (HSF) in a recent fundraising campaign. We would like to take the time to thank our valued customers and store employees for their generosity and support of this fundraising effort. On September 19th, Fortinos Ancaster store owner Phil Cocchiara, along with store employees, presented a cheque to the HSF on behalf of all 22 Fortinos stores, its employees and customers. On hand to accept were representatives from the HSF & a local HSF survivor. Every year in June, Fortinos stores raise funds that are donated to The Heart & Stroke Foundation. Turkeys for Charity! Eastgate Square Fortinos donates to Salvation Army. Eastgate Square recently hosted a “Guess the Weight” turkey content. Because of such overwhelming participating, Fortinos Eastgate Square owner Tony Simeone donated a buggy full of turkeys and thanksgiving related food items to the local Salvation Army branch. The donated items will help families in the store’s community.
