- Standardised set limit
Not included in the supply from authorised suppliers:
- The forward and aft keel bearings
- The fasteners and/or any other means of attachment on the standardised elements
- The various systems providing watertightness in relation to the main body of the boat (bulb plates, boots,
cable conduits, etc.)
- The bulb and its attachment elements
- The assembly, installation and connecting of the standardised elements and notably the cut-out, the battery’s
main switches and power cables.
• Commissioning
The commissioning of the system must be done in the presence of the authorised suppliers. The commissioning
includes sea trials. A report on the trials will be drawn up by the authorised supplier and directed by the client
(boat owner and/or skipper).
• Suppliers’ recommendations
All the suppliers’ recommendations available in the instructions for setting up and use shall be adhered to. The
keel must notably be protected against electrolysis issues.
• Inspections and maintenance
The inspection and/or maintenance forms will be required in the issuing of the OPEN 60’ measurement certificate
and the keel shall notably adhere to article B.8.4.2.3 of the IMOCA Class Rules.
