Farewell Reception for Ron Crawford
Please join us for a farewell recep on in the fellowship hall this
morning at 10:05 a.m. during the Sunday School hour as we say
farewell and thank you to Ron Crawford. We have been extremely
blessed to have Ron as our Interim Pastor during the past year. This
morning is Ron’s final Sunday with HBC. There will be NO SUNDAY
SCHOOL this morning.

New Singles Group at HBC
Are you single and wondering what God’s plan is for you? Do you feel
le out because the world caters to the “married” and o en leaves
singles wondering how to connect? HBC is star ng a singles group
which will meet at the home of Frank & Anne e Sprinkel this evening

for more informa on or for direc ons. This group is for singles of all
ages … and we invite you to join us!!

Our 40 Day Prayer Journey began on Jan. 1 and will go through
Feb. 16.
To kick off the new year, keep the vision of
Pray.Dream.Act. alive, and to prepare us for the coming of a new
pastor, the Leadership Team has created the Pray.Dream.Ac ng 2015
ini a ve. Daily medita on and prayer prompts will be sent out
through emails each day. We hope you will carve out the space and
me to join our church in this season of prayer. If you are not
ge ng the daily email, please write your email address on the
Communica on Card and you will be added to the church email list.
The next Wednesday Night Supper will be held on
Wednesday, Feb. 4. The cost is $5 for adults and $3
for children with a $20 max per family. The menu
will be lasagna, salad, garlic bread and red velvet
cake. Please sign up on the Communica on Card for one- me or
permanent reserva ons.
Books, television shows, and now a major-mo on
picture - is there really such a thing as “le behind”?
The book of Revela on contains passages of great
beauty and comfort, as well as passages that strike the
casual reader as bizarre, bewildering, and some mes
frightening. How are readers today to discern God’s
message in this peculiar part of the Bible? Join David Downey and
Stacy Nowell for a study of this o en misunderstood book
Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 7 - 28.
The A-Team Support Group, a group for those who are caregivers to
spouses, parents or siblings, will meet on Thursday, Jan. 15 at
6:30 p.m. in Room B-4. The group will be focusing on “A Pa ent’s
Bill of Rights” and “Taking Care of the Caregiver.” Join us! If you

Ladies and Gentlemen … start those engines … I mean machines …
ah, sewing machines that is! Dress A Girl Around the World is
coming to a sewing machine near you!! Sewing Circle dates have
been set for Jan. 23 from 6-8 p.m., Feb. 28 from 9 a.m. - 12 noon, and
Mar. 20 from 6-8 p.m. Make plans to join us or start sewing your own

to Mondays beginning Monday, Jan. 5, 2015.
We meet at Bob Evans Restaurant
in Harrisonburg at 6:30 a.m.
and have a time of fellowship and prayer
(and food, of course), with the prayer
focus being for family, friends and HBC.
So guys … please plan to join us
for this time of fellowship for a great start
to your week and to the new year!
Keys for the Ford van are missing! If you’ve driven that van in the
past few weeks, please check your pockets to see if you accidently
le the keys there. If found, please return to the drawer in the foyer.
