Dear Year 11 Parent/Carer
Sixth Form Interviews
Any Year 11 students that have applied for Sixth Form will be offered interviews the weeks commencing 9th and
16th March. These interviews will be with a member of the Sixth Form Team or Leadership Team.
Each student will receive a letter via their Form Tutors after half term. This interview will give your child the
opportunity to discuss their plans for post GCSE study and to look at what options our Sixth Form has to offer them.
After their interview they will receive a conditional offer letter. The conditions are based on their exam results as
all courses have specific entry requirements. Final decisions on courses to be taken will be decided on GCSE results
day on 20th August 2015, which is when students actually enrol in Sixth Form.
Another important date to remember is Wednesday 24th June 2015. This is our Sixth Form Induction Day. It gives
students the opportunity to try out different ‘A’ level subjects. Option blocks are normally available for this event,
this will enable students to see how their choices fit around the option blocks on offer.
